T.

yeah whoever attached that spoiler needs to go have another look at it. I don't like how you can see the trunk lid edge in the big gap either.

I like the MPD1, looks great and it's available for purchase right now. the shocks for the trunk are fine. and don't have any problem with a FULL spoiler much less a center section??? GM is stalling on there wings and cold air kit.

This is my theory.
The reason it's not readily available is because there was so much interest in it on the Dale Jr. car that it turned out to be the perfect standard spoiler on the Z28. Originally, they may have thought it was just a good idea to release it right away but after the overwhelming demand for it, they realized it would be best to not produce it yet. After the Z is released, it will become available for open purchase...

Here is the link where I pre-ordered mine from. Who knows when it will be available though. They come in pretty much every color.

Almost every color, but not Aqua Blue... WTF is it that hard to offer it in all colors?...
Or even unpainted? for less than 460 dollars... this pisses me off, they did the same thing with the mud flap things and something else I can't remember now... At least the Heritage grille is available unpainted, I hope they offer this unpainted as well, makes no sense to buy a painted part just to have to repaint it.

WTH? If that's a real Dale Jr. car, then the design of the corner pieces has changed! The forward tips should not extend out that far into the quarter panel! If this is the way that GM is gonna deliver it, might as well go with the Ebay version in fiberglass that doesn't have the rear light. I was really hoping for a shorter tip, like in the GM parts cat, and their earlier pics!! Crud!

As I look at these pics some more, the spoiler on the Pace car and the Berger car have the correct (IMO) corner pieces, as they are wide at the rear, and then extend out about 3 inches or so...not even to the middle of the side marker light. The one on that Dale Jr. car example are thin and curve fast at the top, and extend way deep into the quarter panel, which makes them look "off".

GM, WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET MY BLEEPING SPOILER ALREADY?????

You guys realize that you are losing tons of money because people are giving up on waiting and are going elsewhere, right? I mean...supposedly it hasn't been released due to more weight and ya'll are worried about the trunk lid pistons not being able to hold the weight...or something like that? Just upgrade the piston shocks things and let's get this done already.

I WANT MY SPOILER

Just think, If I wouldn't have taken it off my order it would still be waiting to get built. Now I've got nearly 30k miles and had it for over 18 months. Sad really. There really is no excuse for this taking so damn long.

Items taken off my original order due to being on constraint:

Engine cover in exterior color.......... I've seen them so I know they exsist.
Hurst Shifter .......... Almost as common as a Unicorn
Spoiler................. Best prank ever by GM.

4get about it! Last time I "spoke" with the GM parts division, I was told that they finally had them made and they were ready, but since Chevy decided to release their Synergy series 2011 Camaros, they took their entire first 2500 spoilers for the assembly line. Gonna have to buy a new 2011 Synergy Camaro to get the spoiler. I'm moving in another direction and giving someone else the $$$, since GM clearly doesn't want it.

GL for those that are waiting. ..never liked that stupid DOT-required 3rd brake light anyway, so I'd have to spend money to cover that and paint it, after spending $500 to get one. No thanks

If this is not available by the time I am ready to get one, or can afford one in this case, I will be going with the MPD1 spoiler. I may just do that anyway. As it looks right now that will fit best with the look I am going for on the car anyway.
Plus it looks like it is only going to be released in certain colors only... I'd rather not pay to have a spoiler painted twice.

An aftermarket company could make a killing if they would just read these threads about people wanting the Dale Jr. Spoiler. GM isn't exactly ran by the smartest of people so don't expect to many great accessories from them. They gave us a good starting point with this car and that's about it. These cars have potential but after the way GM treated the pre-order customers, crawfishing on advertised accessories, ect... ill look elsewhere for parts and accessories AND when it comes time to buy new vehicles.

Aftermarket company already making and selling it.

Hey folks, I may be worng but my understanding is the GM dovetail will not be exactly like the Dale Jr. car anyway. It will have a fourth brake light and is smaller. I found the actual concept car spoiler on ebay. Ordered it painted and put it on my car with no issues.

I think it fits perfectly and makes the new Camaro come to life. SS or not.

Cool huh..
