Ok then, so scratch the v6 Challenger from my list of v6 6-speed competitors for the Camaro.

That only leaves a no-pony-car-heritage Genesis with an excessively notchy trans, or an equally performing Stang that's sitting on a 7 year old body which also has reported tranny problems.

Looks like my Camaro stays where it is!

Well im already starting my process with lawyers I have had the issues everyone is having even after replacing the syncronizers and the seal for the drive shaft which took a crap after they "fixed" the transmission. Now the clutch is sticking during sprited driving 1,2,3 and then that dreaded burnt clutch smell. I will update you guys in the future how this one goes. Hopefully a 1SS in the near future or ill just get a fully loaded v6 auto

I talked with the guys at D&D performance here in Michigan the other day about upgrading my TR6060 trans. I was told that the trans is actually pretty strong as is. There isn't any current upgrades for this trans that make sense $ wise. Small improvements for big money. He told me to put it back in and race it till it breaks. He stated that the transmissions that got replaced for broken output shafts had upgraded syncro's and he thought that all the new ones were shipping with them. I haven't had any problems with mine since the output shaft broke and they replaced the trans. I beat on it pretty hard at the track and am pushing 700RWHP.

These guys are well respected in the industry, take it for what it worth!

Your in the wrong thread buddy. We have manual V6's with the AY6 transmission, not V8's with the TR6060.

It's ok. Maybe we should ask D&D performance about our transmission.

I just want a performance clutch option from somebody. I may start talking to some companies.
My tranny's fine.
When I take it to the track I get slower through the night.
13.88 best so far. It was my first run of the night.

As of now, the poll shows that 2/3 of the people are reporting issues with the Aisin transmission.

Now if that's not indicative of something being amiss, I don't know what is.

1 > 2 is sticky when cold, then regular grind after warmed up unless I shift real slow; clutch in, wait 2 seconds or so then shift into 2nd.
The grinding feels similar to as when one tries to shift when the clutch isn't disengaged far enough.

Mine feels exactly the same after the GM tranny swap. I think that it was the same before the swap as well.
