Anything more than the snakes... We have a weight disadvantage and more raw HP will help make up a little of the difference

A buddy of mine works at GM's Milford Proving Grounds and tells me it's going to have the LSA engine. He works on engines so I think this information is quite reliable. I didn't ask him how much power, but I would guess at least 556HP.

I believe that It will have more than 556, but to push it into the 700+ range would be to infringe upon the Corvette sales market IMO. Sure if someone wants a vette, they will buy a vette, but really, who are we kidding? HP like that is excellent from the factory, but at what point do we push to hard on the Vettes sales #'s?

I say it's going to be at the 556 hp mark, like the CTS-V !!

just from the 3.6L put in the camaro from the cts, the minor differances give it a 2.6% power increase so if it is the same for the lsa and the camaro(witch im shure it will be) it should have about 570HP

....but i still think that chevy should still go back to a big block on the camaro and corvette at lease as an option (re-do the zl-1 to give it around 700HP and slap it in the camaro and vette as a $10,000 option)

I'm willing to bet the engine will be the LSA but the horsepower will be less than 556 hp. I don't see GM giving the Camaro more power than the Cadillac CTS-V rating of 556. The LS3 is in the Corvette and Camaro SS but the Corvette has slightly more horsepower. The horsepower for the Z28 will probably be around 540-550.
