Good shots, they look great.
The subject of ABL was brought up, and Scott simply mentioned that it was one of the reasons for the production delay, and that they were testing it in several different scenarios/temperatures to make sure that there are no quality issues. I did not hear a definitive "yes" or "no" as to whether or not it would be ready at launch, but it sounds like they're doing what needs to be done.

When does this show end? Are they letting everyone sit in the cars, or was it just for the special event sat morning?

It does sound like theyre near the final stages of developing it if they are testing it with different climates, this makes me quite happy, thanks for the input

I believe you can only sit in the Aqua blue V6. When the show opened to the public they roped off the SS LS7 and another red V6RS. It ends next Sunday

what's up with this cord in the trunk area?

Anyone know anything about this long cord hanging in the trunk?

i was going to get up there for the special event this morning but 2 hour drive from Baltimore would have meant leaving at 415 to get there in time. that said here are some thoughts.

the LS7 and the victory red cars there were two different color reds, with the RS 2LT appearing to be the tomato soup color so many have talked about IOM being. I actually ended up calling up NUCAR (sorry NUCAR) while i was there to confirm the 2LT was in fact victory red, because i didnt believe it at first.

the orange interior doesnt even come close to looking like what is seen in pictures on this board. the interior is a burnt orange color, there is nothing really red about it. I had the interior ordered and eek I cant get out of it fast enough.

the aqua blue car that you could sit in was fantastic people were all over that thing waiting just to sit in it for a moment. for about the hour I hung around the Camaro display was easily the most popular display at the show... by far. hell when i visited the new mustang display i never saw more than 2/3 people around it.

the sunroof isnt nearly as bad as some people seemed to think it was, I thought it looked pretty natural.

Finally I had to answer more than a couple of questions/misinformation about the car. One guy thought the aqua 1LT was going to be close to 40k, boy was he shocked when i told him it was more like 25, he ask me several times if I was sure. the other one that came up a lot was if the LS7 is the new Z28, my god I must of corrected 3 or 4 people about that. the girls that worked for GM that were answering questions were just laughing.

overall great time. though i must say im really concerned about the CGM. After months and months of flopping back and forth between black and CGM I finally came back to CGM. but if its not going to be out at first this would change things. Hopefully though everything is okay.

As a side note, did anyone notice the wiring of the LS7 was done in a much better way than all the other models we've seen? I'm talking about that cable on the right in the pic that everyone thought looked so bad.

I meant to get a pic, but forgot. But the LS7's cable didn't hang into the trunk, it looked far more complete and actually attached just above the trunk opening to go through. I have no idea if I explained that well enough.

I can second that.. I didn't know it could be possible, but the new Mustang looks even girlier than the last.

Thanks for posting the pics., and for all those that could make it, "THANK YOU"!

It was a great time. The Camaro's are great, but it's the people who share the love of them that makes it special.

Man, after looking at the silver SS, i think I would be satisfied with the SS without RS and auto. I love that LS7

Scott just mentioned in another thread the the CGM should be ready for Launch, its just that it isnt ready for the Captive test fleet because of the slowdown and not finishing the existing grey. Hope that helps you out there

That LS7 Is HOT!

But I still like Jr's car the best.

Take the wheels from the LS7 and put em on Jr's car and that's pure nirvana.
