Not a whole lot I can tell you visiting the message board, dealerships, and car shows made it worse. Your only hope is that you have a very busy work schedule or busy daily life to keep your mind off the car if not your screwed.

I was going to wait until the 2011 cars came out (this was back in April 2009) well that lasted until October 2009 when I gave in and picked one up. I am again in the same situation with the Camaro convertible buy now or wait until 2012 right now I am holding off for 2012.

I have to agree with Sean ... Hanging out here is a double edge sword for sure. And we are kicking around some of the same things. We are thinking about trading the wife's car in a on a Z when they are released ...

just hang out here. Yes it can be cruel at times to hear from people who HAVE their cars, but at least you are among friends. And almost everyone here had to wait for their cars too.

But I hope the wait is short and you post pictures when take possesion.

I ordered my Camaro in June 09 and I finally got it August 21. The wait was long and seemed endless but now I look back on it as "the good old days". There were dozens and dozens of us waiting at the same time and camaro5 seemed much more active than it is now...Cruel no, EXCITING yes.
Harry Chapin said it best: "It's the going, not the getting there that's best".

Use the wait to sell the car you are replacing the Camaro with.
Use the wait to gather accessories and mods.
Use the wait to save up money for the down payment.
Use the wait to search for a car loan.
Use the wait to shop for insurance.
Use the wait to clean out the garage where the Camaro will be parked.

Get diecasts

While I waited to find the exact Gen5 that I wanted to buy used, I staged this in my TV room - Corvette diescast collection and looked at it as often as I could

In the few days that it took to get my car (after being promised it would arrive the next day), I spent a lot of time arguing with the dealer on the phone. That certainly passed some time.

Get your wife pregnant...

That's what happened with us! Ordered my Camaro, 10 days later, found out that my wife was pregnant. Certainly gave us something to think about OTHER than the Camaro.

Funnily enough, the wait wasn't so bad when you have a whole bunch of other stuff to worry about!

If you think the wait is bad (mine was 7 weeks from order to delivery) try putting it away for winter and then having to walk by it every day when you get into your truck! The way our winter has been, if I get to turn the key on it in March I'll be lucky. It's been two months since I drove my Camaro last, and knowing there is another two months to go sucks!

That stinks man. I couldn't imagine having to do that, I'd go crazy.

OP, I'll kill you! I've been waiting 2 years!

Ordering this week, so I have to wait another 2 months...

Best way to kill time without the anxiety? Stop surfing Camaro5... Honestly, I stopped reading the forum helped me forget that I couldn't get a Camaro yet. Just saved silently...
