Heard of this magical thing called power to weight ratio ??? The Accord weighs 3300-3500 lbs., which is anywhere from 350-550 lbs less than a Camaro V6.

Honda Accord V6 Coupe
0-60 in 5.6, 1/4 mile in 14.2 @ 102 mph

Here are the numbers Car and Driver got with the 6-speed manual Camaro V6(which has RWD, IRS, Limited Slip differential, 275 tires; the Accord lacks all of this); Granted there are better #'s out there, I took out a variable because this is another test from Car and Driver themselves.

Zero to 60 mph: 5.9 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 14.5 sec @ 99 mph

Notice how similar the V6 Accord and above-mentioned Camaro V6's numbers match up, virtually a dead heat in acceleration.

I just think it's funny you were "as sure as hell" that the Accord was not even close in speed, but you are way off base. Hell even a Camry V6 family sedan(that your aunt likely drives) can also do 0-60 in as little as 5.8 seconds. Here is one of it's slower times out there. Now I am NOT trying to prove anything, but there are cars out there that are much faster than you realized if you think that they don't stand a chance in hell against a V6 Camaro.

0-60 in 6.0 and 1/4 mile in 14.5 @ 98 mph.(Road and track has data on a pdf file, they got 5.8 and 14.3 @ 100 mph)

Oh yeah, the 6-speed manual is only available with the V6, so as to why you even put the 4-cylinder's specs up there is beyond me....

Agree with you, but the difference between 6 sec and 5.9 or 5.8 was broken by some members here. It is not a big difference to make a serious challenge between the V6 Camaro and the accord or camry.

I really doubt those numbers though, I come from a place full of Altimas, Maximas, Accords, and Camrys.

Then run like turtles..... dont relay a lot on papers man!
