CCSD / IECC / SoCal Family "Meet & Greet" in Old Temecula, Sunday, January 23rd, 2011

Calling all SoCal Camaros! (1st - 5th Gens) It's the beginning of a brand new year and therefore time for all classic and modern muscle car enthusiasts from Ontario to Orange County to San Diego to meet their fellow Camaro comrades. Here are the details:

Time: Sunday, January 23rd, 2011, 11:00 am - 02:00 pm
Place: Temecula (and places there about)

The plan is for all Clubs to meet at the Pechanga Entertainment Center, 45000 Pechanga Parkway, Temecula, CA 92592 at 11:00 am, for the "Meet & Greet" (in the big parking lot on the south side of the Pechanga Casino), then a 10-15 minute cruise up thru Old Temecula to Rosa's Cantina for lunch! Thanks goes to SilverFoxx of IECC for the rendezvous and cruise path to our lunch venue.


CCSD Members and other San Diego Camaros
1. 10:00 - 10:15 am Meet at the AAA Automobile Club of Southern California, 12630 Sabre Springs Parkway, San Diego, CA 92128, then head out at 10:15 am for the ~45 minute drive up to the Pechanga Entertainment Center rendezvous.
AAA, Poway -> Pechanga, Temecula

IECC Members and other Inland Empire Camaros
2. 09:45 am - 10:00 am Meet at the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, 4485 4th Street, Ontario, CA 91764-5232, then head out at 10:00 am for the ~65 minute drive down to the Pechanga Entertainment Center rendezvous...short stop at Mobil Gas Station off the 15 and Cajalco Road at ~10:22 am to pick up more peeps.
Krispy Kreme, Ontario -> Mobil Station, Corona -> Pechanga, Temecula

SoCal Family Members
3. 09:30 am - 09:45 am Meet at the Ortega Car Wash & Detail, San Juan Capistrano, then head out at 09:45 am for for the ~70 minute drive over (and thru the woods...) to the Pechanga Entertainment Center rendezvous.
Ortega Car Wash, San Juan Capistrano -> Pechanga, Temecula

After a fun 45 minute "Meet & Greet" at the big parking lot on the south side of the Pechanga Casino (bring your digital camera!)...
between 11:45 am - Noon, cruise thru Old Temecula to Rosa's Cantina for lunch.
Pechanga, Temecula -> Old Temecula -> Rosa's Cantina, Temecula

Please enter the Poll so we have a head count of those planning to attend this event. Don't forget to bring a designated driver if you plan to imbibe over your limit....

SoCal Family Members...I can update the proposed route for those coming from Orange County, it seemed to me coming across the mountains via 74 might be a fun route (dropping down into Lake Elsinore), but I have not made that trip in many, many years to know how good or bad it is...

Cant wait for this "Shin-Dig" to happen...looking forward to meeting all my fellow Camaro enthusiasts!!!


However, I would say those of you coming down the 74 (Ortega Hwy) keep a lookout for Motorcycles doing some canyon carving, and as always Johnny Law trying to stop the fun. I miss those good ol' days...

Just a quick heads up. There is a Police Station IN Old Town Temecula. They are fairly forgiving of most things, but that is not the area to put the power to the pavement, if you get my drift.

Also, parking on the weekends is kind of a nightmare. It is a very popular place to trek on the weekends. There is a new parking garage that was built about two blocks from Rosa's that may be the best bet for a large group to be able to stick together.

There isn't a choice in the poll for meeting at Pechanga, but that is what I should be doing. I don't get off work until 6 am and will have to take a quick power nap and head out. See you all there.

All cars should rendevous at Pechanga (in the big parking lot on the south side of the Casino) around 11:00 am. From there, we will make the "soft and quiet" cruise thru Old Temecula to Rosa's (sounds like we should all park on the top of that new parking garage...maybe one of the locals in the group can 'rope off' space for ~2 dozen Camaros that morning?)
