That's true. Nevertheless, NO to the girl and boy taking the C5 to the home coming because even if the this girl and her friend take care of the car some jealous punks could do something bad to it.

I would say NO....not my Camaro. Have dad help you rent one.

Honestly....even at my age if I were going out to something similar to a prom I would have to really double think taking it myself. I would think that I would worry way to much about it sitting outside. Not saying I wouldn't take it but I would definately worry about it the whole time.

Not a chance!!! Once they get behind the wheel of the car, with or without out you in the car, you have NO control on how they will drive.

My husband bought me a surprise...my Camaro. When we got home, our oldest daughter (21) went for "A quick drive" ........... I found out she got it up to 100 mph, for her quick drive. Let's just say...I wasn't too happy about that. I'm glad she didn't get pulled over!!!!!!!

If you don't have the money to repair or replace it yourself, without daddy' insurance....you'll just have to wait.

I love my daughter dearly, and still would say no, but Toolfan had a great point in renting one for you. Also as Entaille mentioned if he is not offering then don't push it, you see as a father myself who has a daughter which I love very much and would do almost anything for understand the pressure your father may be feeling here. Take the high road, let the car be, and have a great time at homecoming.

The daughter would have to be really responsible and trustworthy. Only the parent can determine that.

I'd have a really hard time if the boyfriend was weaksauce. Back in my day, which wasn't too long ago (grad in 2001), the dude still arranged the ride.

My dad let me take our '65 Triumph to school events. He and I restored it together, and he knew I had a great deal of respect for it, as well as for him. I knew how to drive it well, I knew what to do if something went wrong. So me taking it was never an issue--in fact, I think he encouraged me to take it out sometimes in hopes that I'd land some extra fun!!

As i mentioned before, the dad can't rent for someone else under 25...I THINK. It's something to ponder.

As a father of a high school senior, I would not let my daughter and her boyfriend take my Camaro to any dance. Mainly because kids don't know how to handle a high power V8 car. They can drive a Honda around all day, but a V8 Camaro is a whole different story.

So my answer would also have to be NO.
