Ditto, my motor is being built as we speak.... My builder is now a distributor/installer for TTI/Granatelli kits. We are starting with 10 psi springs rather than the 7 psi springs that are standard...

That having been said, there are several other really nice kits out there... The decisions are tough due to the initial cost of the kits, so any thread like this is both informative and appreciated...

Sorry you feel the way you do. Our kit is legal, not sure why people keep under understanding the C.A.R.B

As for thier kit design - Turbonetics themselves will be the first to admit the short coming of their design - all in an attempt to be able to sell a shippable 50 state legal kit.

In fact if married to a single turbo is your requirement we sell and install their Gen 5 kits.
Thank you for removing the non Turbonetics kit related material. I would be happy to discuss your kit on a separate thread. I don't see an EO number for your kit on the CARB website but we can discuss that in a thread about your kit

WE (too many of you) keep looking at the stock manifolds as holding the car back – it is not.

Not even a 3” or 4” DP (down pipe) addresses the concern you state. We are not talking about a Honda with 1 2.5 or 3” pipe – unless you are talking about the Turbonetics kit only. Twins have twice the exhaust output because they split the load. You can make well over 800 HP with one 3” DP off a 76mm turbo with minimal measurable back pressure.

Here we agree 101% - as shipped by Turbonetics, the system already looks like the exhaust pipe is dragging on the crank pulley. Even the car they had at SEMA was touching

At SEMA their pipe was touching (dragging) on the A/C compressor

So here is my question to you – WHY would anyone prefer a single turbo over twins? I single CAN’T make the power of a twin system. It is hard to mount a big honk’n turbo anywhere proper. Plus the heat off 1 turbo big enough to keep up with 2 65mm turbo would be more like triple
I'll give you one reason I would choose a single over twins. The CARB. I live in San Diego and have spent my time dodging emissions inspections with other cars. I want a kit I can bolt on in 8 hours that makes enough power to have fun with (560 more than does that) that I don't have to hide or worry about every few years when my registration is due

Lets go at it from this angle - when it comes time to purchase your single turbo kit (Turbonetics kit) please allow us an oportunity to help you with your purchase. We are a Master Distributor for Turbonetics and only 20 miles away. We can do the install for you while you wait and dyno it.

We actually have a car here and will give you an update once we have the kit on. I'm sure they will be some changes to the current in order to work on the A6 cars.

Is the pricing going to be comparable to the LS3 kit?
