iPod Snap, Crackle and Pop

I understand this has been posted in the PDIM update threat, but I wanted to make a thread for this specific issue.

For me it happens occasionally with my iPod Classic 5th Gen 2009 model. I am not sure if it's interference with the long USB cable or just something else.

VERY frustrating when this happens.

I have the same problem on all my apple devices. I have the Ipod Classic 5h Gen, the iPad, and an iPhone 3GS. They all do the snap, crackle, pop. And now it wont even recognize my iPhone, even though it worked before. Fun times.

now i am lost but are you talking about it being connected in a car?

cause there can be a few reasons it does that. maybe i could help if you tell me what unit your using and what cable hook up you have. like does it charge the ipod/iphone and what not?

For me, it started when I updated my iPhone 3GS to OS 4.0.1. I got some grief, and then it would play 5 songs and cut out, not recognized but that problem disappeared altogether. It also would cut out through bluetooth so I think it's an issue with apple, rather than our cars.

I have the BA system, my iPod classic 5th Gen (2009) is hooked up through USB. Everything is stock and my iPod software is up to date.

i am wondering if it has anything to do with the set up. what i mean is the us port itself. thinking bad connection or the adapter is having problems.

i can research it tomorrow

Does it with my Nano, I just unplug/plug in and goes away. Annoying, yes but doesn't happen that often.

Well there are no issues with anything that isn't an iPod from what I've seen. I will try unplugging and plugging it back in when it happens. I also have a AUX cable just in case.

Just happened to me today. Snap crackle and pop. ipod nano 6th Gen. Also, when the car is turned off and back on (to gas up) it gave the message that `Aux Jack Unplugged` When the Nano was never disconnected from the usb port. Annoying +1

Happened to me on my second day of ownership(Saturday). I'm not gonna do anything unless it becomes a constant thing.

Happens to me occasionally too with my iPod classic. I unplug it and plug it back and that fixes it. It doesn't happen very often.
