Just a FYI for anyone who made reservations at the Oshawa "Holiday Inn" conference centre. The Holiday Inn will be changing to Quality Inn as of next Tuesday (or so). When I tried to confirm my reservation via confirmation number on their website (Holiday Inn), it gave me an error; then when I called the Holiday Inn 1 877 410 6667 toll free number on my confirmation email, they stated they had NO Holiday Inn in Oshawa at 1011 Bloor st (WTF). ONLY by calling the original 1-905-576-5101 number was I able to confirm with guest services I had my rooms (using my original confirmation #).

The original website doesn't work either, but this is the new one that will "be coming soon";

That is all correct Rick. We were waiting until the official change over to announce this but.... The Holiday Inn Conference Centre Oshawa is changing to a Quality hotel.
What will stay the same:
- Same hotel
- Same rates
- Same reservation confirmation #'s for reservations already made
- Same party

What will change:
- The name of the hotel
- The group reservation code "may" change (might be irrelevant b/c we've almost filled the place!)
- With the brand change there "might" be some other ammenity changes (I'm hoping for free hot breakfast ).

That's it! So no big deal. If you want to confirm or make any changes to your reservation, please call the hotel directly at 1-905-576-5101.

A 2nd overflow hotel will be added shortly to give people more options on where they would like to stay.

FYI - Holiday Inn Priority Club Member Services just sent me an email indicating the Oshawa HI is no longer a Holiday Inn property. Message indicated reservation will be honored by the property but no Priority Club points will be earned.

Holiday Inn Oshawa changing over to a Quality Inn - their website is under construction - http://www.qualityhoteloshawa.com/

Again - per Holiday Inn Priority Club member services the property will honor reservations made under Holiday Inn.
