Even if its only your opinion, I still greatly appreciate it, because without it, I may have spent $10,000-$15,000 above MSRP

Ok heres the news. I talked to the sales manager and this is what he told me. "It all depends on the market, if other dealers are selling MSRP, then I will sell MSRP, if other dealers sell above, so will I." "It would be unfair to me to sell it at MSRP, when other dealers are making a larger profit." "But keep in mind, I do want you to be happy." So that was that, and the worst part....I didn't cancel. They kept telling me to wait until the car came in, and then if I didn't like the pricing, they would just sell it to someone else. I went to 2 other dealers, and they ALSO said that they would sell above MSRP. So I'm just probably gonna wait until they get it and see the price. Plus I'm their number 1 spot, and the dealer has already turned down other people because they have no more allocations. But what's funny is that I was talking to a dealer guy, who was just talking to me as if I were some little child, and then I told him how this was unacceptable, he would try to change the conversation towards my brother, who was with me. I told him that I knew even at MSRP, they would still be making a profit, then he contacted the sales manager and thats when the sales manager stated the above ^^^ in quotation. I told him alot of the stuff you guys told me, and it seems he is more reasonable now. OH, and another thing, they said that the prices weren't final, which I believe, but he still could have told me he would sell at MSRP. Opinions?

I would have asked him if depending on the market if your girlfriend kissed your ass would he too? What if the other dealers are selling BELOW MSRP? Do what you want but I still would be LONG GONE from that a-hole.

I'm just gonna wait it out. I've called some dealers within a 300 mi radius, and I get the same crap. Might as well keep my #1 spot and wait. If the price is to high, I'll either wait for them to be on the lots, or buy a challenger............................(or mustang)

Oh and I don't know if this is true, but they said GM moved the production date up to March 1st.

Go bet them they are wrong. If you win, you get the car at invoice; if you lose, you pay $2500 over MSRP. One of you is out $2500

I can not believe the date has changed and we wouldn't know about it here almost first- NO WAY.

I won't shun you; I'll continue to tell you you're crazy and that YOUR DEALER IS AN IDIOT but I won't shun you.

I'm with trm0002, however, i have been curious about launch being movede up as well. They seem to be making more and more cars each day and the March consensus is Friday.

I never even thought there would be a consensus for MArch considering a 3/16 launch and all dealers getting one V6 first????

Makes me wonder.....
I'm #1 at my dealer and I am hoping they get an SS allocation this Friday

That training blize with 15 city activity does mesh with the plan to have a car on the ground in Vancouver "for training" between March 1 to 7 . I have been invited.

Is it possible some of the dealer V6 "forced " inventory are being ramped up? Pre SORP?
