If you could get the turbo in an LT trim it'd be a pretty good buy. 15.5Kish for the Turbo and 6spd. Other places covering the show say the car could start around 14.5K MSRP so..

I do remember the rep saying that it wasn't going to cross to far into Cruze territory price wise especially with the small sedan being offered as well. So 14.5-17Kish? Sound about right, Fen?

I like that the back door handle is hidden(ish) like the Corvette! Gives it that coupe look.

Opens with one hand too like the vette. Easier and lighter than the drivers door actually. Good thing for when you only have one free hand and want to toss stuff in the back.

Can't say enough how impressive it was compared to the Aveo.

Wait, what? Last I checked I could open just about any door with only one hand.

I just looked back at those first pics.... I see it in them now.... wow, that's pretty slick! Very low profile. It almost looks like a 2 door.

You could just tug on the handle with a single finger to open the door, it had less resistance than your heavier doors up front or on other small cars.

Just an odd little thing I noticed. I thought the handle was off but that's just how it was. Could be a fluke too, one of the display Equinoxes had it's brake pedal lock up all weird..

Nice pics and comments Zabo.

This type of door handle used to be on the W-body coupes back in the day. We called them the "beer tap handle" for obvious reasons.

It's a nice way to make a 4 door look more like a 2 door. Gives a more coupe-ish look.

I'm still surprised it is simply the Cruze Powertrains in a smaller car.

I just went to Chevrolet.com and a loaded 2LT Aveo is just under $18,000. But if we get an LTZ Sonic with a 1.4 L Turbo and 6 speed trans instead of todays 5 speed, I think you can guess that a loaded Sonic LTZ would be over 20. It's simply a much better car with better powertrains.

If you're referring to mid 90s W bodies then I've got a pair of those handles sitting out in the street on Chew Toy (96 Monte Z34). Has a lot more give than the Trans Am's handle.

Any word on them offering the 1.4T and 6spd on the 1LT? If it's one thing that I'm finding with the T/A.. it's that if my hand stays shoved in the console area shifting and flicking through channels on the radio, I don't need no stinkin steering wheel controls.
