The one negative thing I will say about cloth is the little fibers that collect between cleanings on the dashboard, etc.

Sorry, but you can disagree, but it's a fact that leather will outlast fabric. You said it yourself, that pieces of your fabric end up on the dashboard. I spent way too many years in the furniture business selling/owning both leather and fabric sofas. Trust me, leather wins hands down. I won't buy a new car without it.

Most cars do not have leather equal to that of good furniture.

i don't like leather furniture. i have full leather furniture now. i think its horrible. i prefer cloth/material furniture. i don't mind leather in cars but i don't understand the appeal of leather furniture its not as comfortable as good cloth furniture.

That's why they make sofa's out all kinds of material leather being only one choice. Personally I love leather furniture. It will outlast fabric. It gets softer and softer and more comfortable the older it gets. It breathes so no matter what the temperature in you home, it will take on your bodies temperature. I will definitely go with the 2SS simply for the leather. I will get some of the money back upon resale anyway as leather is worth more than some faded fabric.

To me personally beside the comfort the added incurred costs between the actual leather, maintenance and the package to get it is just not worth it! Besides the cloth in the Camaro looks extremely high grade!

I am going with the leather interior. I want it straight from the dealer without making any major changes. The only change I will do to MOD it will be the CAI and the headers. Still, that will not be for some years afterwards. I might get the black ABL covers from the dealer if I ever get tired of the IO ABL covers , but I doubt I will ever get tired of the IO interior.

The BA is a want, the C&C package is a want as well. The rest could be left. I am getting the RS package also. Those light are awesome, and I do not want to go find them and pay extra to put them in myself.

I have a 41 year old Camaro that does not have leather interior. I think all surface covering choices will outlast thier owners if you take care of them, leather, vinyl, or fabric.

I could deal with no leather if I could get the 4 pack console gauges and I could deal with no gauges if I could get the leather, but combined, plus the fact that I'd want the upgraded stereo anyway, made me go for the 2SS.

I'd already be spending around $35,000 on the 1SS after all is said and done, why not spend another $3,000 and get everything I want? This will probably be the first and last time I ever order a car like this brand new, and I plan to keep it for a LONG time, so I splurged .
I read from other posts that the car is already wired for the tic toc gauges so you should be able to get them from your dealer and add when the car arrives if the dealer has them, or you can add yourself later on. It would be a very simple install. That is one of the reasons I am going with the 1SS and saving a few grand. I don't care for heated seats, steering wheel controls, heated mirrors. Just extra stuff to tear up IMO.

Dude, I'd buy it if it were an option but they throw in other stuff that you "HAVE" to buy in order to get the leather. The way the packages are set up by GM are a complete failure by GM IMO.

Sounds like a good sales pitch to get a customer to buy a more expensive couch. I'm not buying it though, and besides when the cloth is old enough to actually wear out, gas will probably be $10/gallon anyway, and I will driving around in some dorky looking hybrid because that's the only thing that will pass the government's new EPA standards. :(:upset:
