I do want to add that one of the older guys at the Ford place at Garber has Horrible Customer Service, When I walked up and asked if I could test a GT he asked "Are you going to buy one?". I said not from you and went to talk to another salesman who was actually very helpful.

You have already made your decision. You came to a camaro website to pretty much make us push you over the edge. (I haven't read a word of this thread btw.)

The insurance on my wife's old 06 V6 Mustang was more than than her 10 Mustang GT. My Challenger SRT8 insurance is 50 cents CHEAPER than our 10 Mustang GT. My guess is the % of wrecked Mustangs is higher than for Camaros or Challengers.

As far as gauges the SRT8 has a digital display you can go thru that shows pressures, temps & such plus records 0-60, 1/8, 1/4 times, braking distance, and g-force.

I haven't sat in a R/T but I didn't like the base Challenger interior but love the SRT8 interior.

I got my 1st car when I was 14 & so did each of my sons. Last year we sold my Son's black 90 Camaro RS. We installed a 300+hp Vortec 350, upgraded injectors, custom tune, headers, duals, performance built tranny, 145mph speedo. Pretty fast car. It even passed DEQ!

In my sig pic to the left of my SRT8 is my oldest son's 74 Camaro. We started rebuild it when he was 14. It was a great learning tool for him. He's 22 now. We rebuilt/modified almost everything in that car. He won the Cruzin Sherwood Burnout Contest in it last year. It had a 550+hp 454 BBC in it.
