87 is ALL you need!..it's right in the manual!

right, but at least you will "STILL" have the 4 bucks in your pocket to blow!

The knock sensors will kick in before you can actually hear the car pinging...
car's so damn powerful, don't really think you would notice a "big" difference anyway!..save your money!..keep your overall costs down!..just sayin!

Using the wrong fuel is bad for your engine. Don't do it. If your car says that regular is required, that means that regular is required. The word "required" implies that there is no better way to go. I can't understand why anyone would think that adding octane on a car not made for it could possibly be good. That's like driving in the oncoming traffic lane because it's also good for your car and your safety. It's not, and neither is using the wrong gas.
thanks for not workin' for a major oil company!..everybody hear this?..personally i would rather not pay any more than i have to, to put gas in the "hungry" beast!.sooo smart money says,do what the manual explains!..use 87!

ugh...this is a topic that will never die.

Use whatever you want and be happy, but know that there is real data showing that the LLT can run a bit "happier" on higher octane gas.

Is it worth it?....thats up to you.

Only the ones screaming "ONLY USE 87!!!!!!!" or "ONLY RUN PREMIUM!!!!!!!" are the wrong ones.

Okay i MIGHT piss you guys off a little for posting in this thread again.... but i was wondering for any fellow Canadians... which would be better fuel.... We only have Shell 91 octane with NO ethenaol contained in it... or now the petro-canada bought out Sunoco 94 octane WITH 10%... i want to know which is better, from what i remember ethanol is bad.

Sorry guys Thanks again!

Gee. This topic has become the thread that never ends plus thread after thread on the topic. It is not complicated to me. I switched to 93 octane Shell (top tier) & could clearly feel a change for the better. End of discussion.
