The initial allotment confirmation is supposed to be released this week for everyone so dealers in the US should know how many they will be getting initially by the end of this week.

I really do

the honesty and good information guys like Team Lynn and Camaro Scotty have contributed over the months on here. We do have some dealers in this country that have a lower profile but have been doing there best to keep their customers informed.

Our distribution has never been identical to the system used in the USA.

So it is not bull ....it's just different. BUT THE CAR IS THE SAME!!!

Never said it was my friend. I'm talking about the whole "sell one to get another" fiasco. I've just never heard of anything like that.

Up here it was done with the Z06. He said CAMARO will be handed like high end Vettes.

YOU did not......... but some one else today said they smelled bull.

Just like how in Canada you can't get an SS in Blue, the ordering and stuff is different as well.

Actually he is now an American. Other "X" Canadians - Paul Anka, Alanis Morisette, Steve Yzerman, Jim Carrey and the late Peter Jennings.

this isn't true... Camaro allotment is allocated to dealers based on three variables.

Corvette sales at the specific dealership
Mustang salesin the dealers selling area
and location in the major market areas (the bigger the city the greater chance of receiveing allotment)

Now this is not the exact order and each are weighted differently throughout Canada; but i said this earlier...every dealers knows how many Camaros they have been alloted for the first 6 months of production (and nothing any further than that).

We've just been told that 20% of our original 6 months allotment must be V6 and at this time they don't have to be the dealers first orders...they can be their last if they choose. Those dealers lucky enough to recieve allotment in this first month were able to tell the 'zone' which Camaro they wanted built first and if they got any more, which one they wanted built next.

There is no 'turn and earn'...meaning if you sell one you get another. GM of Canada has already figured out how many Camaros Canada is getting for the first 6 months and then have distributed that amount amongst its dealer body. They (being Gm of Canada)will then recieve the final 6 months of production allotment and distribute those back out accordingly to dealers...

further to this...be careful whenever you are talking to the 'sales people' at dealerships. being a dealer we try to curtail what our sales people say to get customers to purchase vehicles. nonetheless, some sales people will resort to the lowest common denominator and say whatever you think you want to hear in order to get your business.

if you have any concerns or questions about the order status of your camaro...or if you just want the correct information about ordering a camaro, i suggest you bypass the salesperson, request the sales managers time to ensure you're getting the correct details.

The individual has exclusive responsibility for ALL Camaro orders at
this well established dealer.

The dealer has decided in these tough times to not order any more Camaro or Vettes until the previous units have been paid for.They sell a Z06
THEN they order another one.
