The downpayment for the car was a Birthday present on 10/13/08 from my wife. She knew about the day they were accepting pre-orders and after work said lets go for a ride...imagine my surprise pulling into the dealership

Back in September I was torn between waiting for the Camaro and getting a slightly used Vette. The g/f convinced me to wait for the Camaro, I'm really glad she did.

On Oct. 10th I found out about the pre-order scheduled for the 13th. Later that night I talked with her about ordering it. She was 100% supportive, even if that meant a ring might be delayed.

Even if she didn't know it, both decisions were made for me that night. The red 2SS was ordered on Oct. 13th, and she was wearing a ring within a week.

When they opened up the colors on the SS's I changed my order to Imperial Blue Metallic as blue is her favorite color. It doesn't hurt that the color is gorgeous IMO.

She also wants to learn stick so she can drive it occasionally. I'm a bit dubious, but we're going to give it a try on a friends Civic.

My wife could care less what I want to buy. She basically says, "go to the dealer, take care of the dealing, and then come get me". When I was hounding her for a Vette, I took her to the dealer to test drive it and she was sold.

I've said a few times before, the deal was, She got a Lexus IS350 when we were ready for a new car in 2007, and I get the new Camaro in Jan. 2010.

She loves cars anyway and she loves the 5th Gen. so no problems here.

I told my wife for about a year and a half that since she got the last new vehicle, I was getting the next one....the Camaro. She didn't gripe too much about that, but since then I've caved and bought her a new Yukon Sooo she definitely is on board now. Can I get a pat on the back for that one? Oh yeah and I just learned the other day she had made an appointment with a laser hair removal chick to remove that un-wanted hair. I don't even know how much that's gonna cost, but you ain't gonna hear me bitch about it, b/c that just means I've got more ammo when my NEW CAMARO comes in and if she even tries to say something like "It costs too much". I really don't think she will, she just wants me to be happy with my new hot rod.

The only thing she does not like however, is the fact that I'm like a crack-addict when it comes to this site. I'm always on it, always typing, always looking at it, always looking for new polls, etc. Shoot, she thinks that's bad, just wait until "MY NEW GIRLFRIEND" gets here.

BTW, this is a cool thread.

Of course my husband is supportive. I'll let him drive it during the week and I get it on the weekends.

I have the best wife in the world when it comes to this kind of stuff.

She loved my custom 97 step side. So we bought her a jeep wrangler, the first thing she said when we got home was "When do I get the lift and tires?" After wiping the dust out of my eye that was causing me to tear up, I finally said, "I lllloo uuvve you..."

So, needless to say we are both looking forward to our next custom ride. The only problem we have right now is color. She wants victory red or yellow, and I want CGM and custom Paint. I think I'll win her over cus she loved the paint on my truck....

Luckiest man alive if you ask me....

Here's a pic of my wife helping a friend and I install the lift on her jeep.

It's going to be Steve's daily driver and my weekend car.

July 12th conflicts with the Historic Races at PIR, so I don't think we'll be up in Seattle for the show. Sorry!

Though my wife loves cars and shows and such, I could not even fathom her in a pic doing this. You are a lucky lucky man. Good job.
