All I can say is I can`t wait till people start getting their cars so I don`t have to see these kinds of messages in the forums every day. Instead of "Aww no ABL maybe I have heard from some guy in Ontario`s cousin" to "Just took my `maro to the strip and blew the doors off a (insert car here)`" Or "Picked up a hot blonde who liked my car today" threads. I am thinking about taking a break from all this speculation and negativity.

All we can do is speculate until one of us gets our Camaro in! Speaking of speculation, I would be happy with it on the doors, but think it would look better if it was on the dash as well (though I do understand that it may look a little wierd during the day).

We shouldn't have to speculate; GM has already made a decision on what they're doing with ABL. These cars are about ready to be built...why won't they just tell us what we're buying?

Just be glad the delay isn't to see what congress will tell them in March. I thought, at first, the delay was to see what congress tells them. If congress fails them and takes the money back then GM would have to cut all production. But they start on the Camaro 2 weeks before the hearing so I was just freakin out.

Ambient lighting isn't on my panic list.

(The lower case 'c' in congress was deliberate.)

I sent GM an e-mail about ambiant lighting. This is how it went...

I have read on Camaro5.com that the ambiant lighting may not be ready for the launch of the Camaro. I would like to know if it will be ready because I would like to upgrade to the 2SS from the 1SS if it is going to be ready. If it will not be ready I will gladly stay with the cheaper 1SS but it is an option that I would love to have. Thank you for any info that you can provide.

Thank you for contacting Chevrolet and for your interest in the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro! We appreciate the time you have taken to write us.

According to our information, ambient Light (ABL) should be available at start of production on the 2LT and 2SS 2010 Camaro models. It consists of lighting around the door trim and instrument panels. However, we recommend keeping in touch with your preferred Chevrolet dealership for the most current information on option availability. More information on the 2010 Camaro can be found online at http://www.chevrolet.com/camaro.

they actually referred you to the http://www.chevrolet.com/camaro. site which is like a source of 0 info.. For a home site they really have to kick it up some..

Yeah, it didnt tell me crap. They want me to keep in touch with my dealer... Do they not realise that dealers dont know anything except whats in the brochure! Thats why I mentioned Camaro5.com so that maybe it will get to somebody that knows something.
