Vararam for V6 Camaro...finally

Well I just got an E-mail from from Vararam this morning about ordering an intake for my Camaro... "The V-6 Camaro units are being built later this week. We must do the pictures for the instructions and then they can ship. Installation time is 5-10 min. at the max!" WOOHOOOO, it's about time. I'll be ordering mine as soon as they ae available to be ordered online.

So, they need pictures for instructions.....so we're looking at another couple months then I'm guessing.

lol j/k....but seriously, hopefully they get on the ball and can start shipping these as soon as they are built.

Been too long of a wait, but looking forward to seeing the final product.

Tell them they can use my car for pictures this week, if they'll give me a discount on one. I'm only about 30 minutes away from their office.

What in God's name took this long? Something smells fishy. This pisses me off because this was the one I wanted all along, but gave up on when they stopped returning emails. I figured they gave up.

Dammit, well somebody may be able to buy a cheap used K&N off me soon if this turns out well.

One with forced cold air, the concept behind it is about the best you can get, the faster you're going the more cold air is pushed in. Now let's see how the execution is....and lest we all forget, we've been lied to and strung along by Vararam for almost two years now, so nothing they say holds the slightest weight in my mind. I will need to see INSTALLED PICS and independent dynos before I believe a word of it.

Maybe they took so long because they went after the V8 crowd first and then took time to redesign it to address concerns that were raised. Seems like those that got the new V8 version are pleased with it.

I've pinged Vararam to let them know that they can use my Camaro for the V6 photos if they need it. We'll see where that goes...

The one thing I didn't like about it on the V8 was that you had to unbolt the radiator and lean it back so the scoop could go over the top of it. Hope the V6 version is different though I don't see how it could be!

Hope it works out o.k. I have a similar ram air/cold air duct on my ls1. Goes right to the bottom of the airbox and works very well.

hmmm, I'm interested. But I want to see dyno numbers from an independent tester. We all know what happened with Airaid, lol.

How can it be only a 5-10 min install!?!? Call BS on that.....nothing is 5-10 min install on an automobile engine.

Also, haven't we already proved that increased air flow into the intake manifold, doesn't really do anything for this engine? The temperature of the air going in is the only thing that matters?
