Info on Dealers submitted first orders on 2/6 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I know there are talk about this happening in different threads, but wanted to try and get some discussion about this in a central location. Sounds like dealers get to find out what GM's allocation for the first month is on 2/6.

Can anyone confirm this?

Stopped by my dealer and the sales guy had not heard this. But like all will say, "my dealer is an idiot", but I like the price I got and they are nice people.

If GM gives the dealers an allocation for the first month of X cars, can we extrapolate that they will get X cars each month? Is that safe to say? I am the second V6 allocation, so I doubt my order will be in the first batch, but would like to know approximately when I will get the car (have to dump my existing car).

Any information on this would be helpful, maybe from some of the forums dealer employeed users.

This is a question for CamaroScotty.

Dealers do learn thier allotment for 1 month of production tommorow, but I wouldnt think you could really use that to gauge your delivery. Mainly because of constraints, and how long it takes the factory to ramp up to full production. But if you are the 2nd V6, I would think you'll be juust fine!

It's on chevylaunch.com Tell your dealer to login, click on the 2010 Camaro section and check the important dates link. Not sure how they'll get notified of what their allocation for the month is, I guess through workbench.

My plan is to call my salesman tommorow to check on this and see if they got an offical first months allotment. I told him I would be calling, so hopefully he will check on it in the morning.

I just got back from my dealer. I had him pull up dealerworld and it showed no allocations and no constraints yet on "2010 CAM". He's going to email me tomorrow if the info changes.

I spoke to my dealer yesterday and he verified that today or monday they learn their first allocation. And by dealer I meant Chevy, my other dealer can neither confim nor deny any "allocation".

I put down my deposit a few weeks ago and for some reason the pricing reads WA in all columns when picking the options. We got everything down and printed the paper and the pages came out blank. Guess the printer was still out of ink like the first time. Fortunately I had the Camaro5 list I found on one of the threads here with all the options and prices! Rally Yellow with Black Stripes SS/RS LS3 M6 Midnight Silver Rims Black Interior!

He tried telling me that there are alot of false stuff on the internet and not to believe what im reading. Then he went on to say the reason the car has been delayed was because of the seats. I told him that i knew about that from Camaro5 long before he found out!

He also said that he heard they were going to be taking orders on March 1st.

The first sheet they printed our was like yours with WA listed on the price, but they had to go in at a different location to actually get the prices, which they gave me and worked up a final price including tax title and license fees.
