1983 Honda VF750C Magna weighing about 900lbs 2010 Chevy Camaro 1SSM6 Weighing about 4000lbs 2001 Exploder with 95,000mi by the time I can rationalize the purchase. So I'm going to need something with a 5K tow rating.. the '01 Exploder's is 4940 by manufacturer. And that is the OMGTRUCKGONNASPLODE tow rating.. So the Exploder would probably be pretty well exploded and a write off after any move I guess.. Other option would be to trade in the Exploder.. But then I'd be out of a winter beater and a method to move my bike (I AM NOT GOING TO ATTACH A TOW HITCH TO MY F%$KING CAMARO!). |

My wife is supportive of us getting a camaro. I really don't think she will ever drive it, it's stick for 1 thing and once she feels how powerful the car is I think she will be too afraid to drive it. She won't be happy however with the options I just switched without telling her. I dropped the rally stripes and changed it to the RS package a $730 increase....yeah I'm dead meat... but I was thinking if this is the only time I ever get one I should get it with everything I want so I have no regrets. I hope she understands that it's only going to add 1-2 payments to the overall life of the loan, but it's a lifetime to enjoy the car..... Who am I kidding, I better get in the dog house now.

![]() Me too...and FTF thinks it is great that I'm getting it. Quote: "This will be you last car forever." She meant it in a good way...as in, excited for me.

![]() With mine it's "This will be your 'First' car in forever". I've kinda groomed the situation over the years. My turn, My turn. After buying and paying off 4 new cars of her choosing, it's finally here. And the best part about it is obvious. 5th GEN Camaro.

How many "my turn"s was that? If it was that long ago, you should be able to order one now...

If you were willing to violate the law, which you shouldn't be and I wouldn't recommend, you might try a dolly that carries the bike too. ![]() It would be advisable to do some upgrades to the Exploder to help prevent explosion. If safety is adequately addressed by having the dolly bear the entire weight of the car and part of the bike's weight, then the upgrades are merely for the Exploder's longevity. The most important one would be a large transmission cooler. Still it would probably be an unsafe rig. What you really need is a modern full-size pickup. A 2500 series can carry the bke in its bed and tow the Camaro on a full trailer, or maybe trailer both. A 1500 could carry the bike and dolly the car, easily use the bike-car dolly above, or possibly trailer both (for the newest 1500 models).

As this is for my mid-life crisis, I told my wife it's either a Camaro 2SS/RS or a girlfriend. I'm glad she said Camaro, 'cause honestly I don't have the stamina for a girlfriend!
