You guys are killing me with all these, too funny.

side note, Speed Buggy and Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch are being released on DVD. I'm thinking about getting them.

I remember if the TV wasn't working right the fix was simply to kick it. I remember having to walk over to the VCR to fix the tape since the tracking was off and who would have remote for something like that? I remembered ruining my dad's tracked printer paper and sending him into flying rage in the process. I remember getting smacked down by my mom and dad when I got out of line and having to put sopa in my mouth when I swore. I remember you didn't have to wear helmets on bikes and when skate boarding was actually difficult on thin boards. I even remember that video games were actually difficult and that many of these kids can't muster the skill of an almost 30 year man who kicks their asses on a regular basis. I remember when MTV, cable, and the Simpson's would rot my brain. I remember setting slot cars on fire because I overloaded the surge protector free wall outlet. I even remember we didn't have answering machines and had to devote times when we could use the 18k dial up modem to get on the internet. I also remember think my dad's 82 Corvette was the closest car ever. Times have changed and probably not the for the better.

You know what's weird? All this stuff we are talking about was fun and the things we had were cool back in the day but think about this, for some strange reason the people who grew up when we did are the same nuts that have been the reason things have changed drastically in life today. They must have been the few who did not have fun growing up and decided they were gonna "make a change" when they grew up. Hell, even the ones that invented the stuff we have today were good ideas and they made lots of money but unfortunately not all good ideas are for the better. Just saying.

What seemed cool might've been jive, and what was jive might've been cool. The laws of cause and effect don't allow us to alter that which came before.

Damn, I just read through this whole thread, almost brought me to tears remembering all the fun I had when I was a kid, and all the cool toys I had.
