This is very time consuming, but I think it will be worth the time when completed.

Notice I did not do the stitching where the leather stopped and the cloth started. I did a very small part on the other side of the seat and the blue paint pen will stain the black/grey cloth. . . I may try and get to these threads by using a small brush.

What color blue is that Frank? Mine looks a little darker then that.

PS, with my beige seats you've gotta be extremely slow & careful on that inner stitch lol

Don't bother, I tried 2 Walmarts and they did not carry them. They had a different brand of fabric dye; Tulip?.

However, I did find it (Elmer's) at Jo-Ann Fabrics. Hopefully, you have a JAF in your area, because out of the 5 retailers that I checked, they were the only place that had them.

I want to do my stitching in red. I have read all the posts by people that have done this dye-your-stitching idea and I noted the different brands of dye used. I also PM'ed each of them and asked additional questions about their results.

Based on those answers, I bought 5 different brands of fabric dyes and before I do my seats, I will test each one. So far, without any testing, it looks like Elmer's (Jo-Ann Fabrics) and Fabric Mate (Hobby Lobby) are the most promising.
