Yea, he told us not to further the rumor. All that does is FURTHER THE RUMOR!!!! Scott is guilty of doing the very thing he told us not to do times 1000. If he would've just told us what's up instead of telling us not to worry about it this thread wouldn't even exist.

Ok GM circa 1995. This kind of idiotic thinking is what causes companies to go under! If people don't like something, you can't be arrogant and just tell them to buy something else. If enthusiasts are unhappy about something, the general public will likely be much, much more unhappy about those same things as they don't have any affection for GM and will just go buy a different product.

Frankly, you took the risk of pre-ordering a vehicle before the engineering was complete and the design was 100% locked in (as of production day). You have every right to be upset if - IF - something goes wrong that you didn't expect. But we need to understand the risk of pre-ordering before we do it and then complain like we were blindsided. Sorry...deal with it.

Somebody please close this thread. This ABL nonsense has become unbearable, and its making it look like the site is a tree house with a bunch of bratty 10 year olds in it.

Then don't click on any thread you see with "ABL" in it. Problem solved!

1: No one has actually paid, in full, for their Camaro. So, that means if GM can't deliver the car as intended then everyone who isn't going to get what was planned will either be able to get a discount (Are you listening GM?) or worst case pull out all together. Again, my point is GM will/should make it up to the consumer somehow. Something like, Pay the original MSRP and bring the car back once we have ABL working correctly to have it installed at no charge. In my opinion if it isn't as advertised then GM should make it up to the customer.

2: We all need to understand the project side of this. No project runs perfectly. There are always problems some larger than others. And when a project is at risk of falling short by either going over budget (raising the price of the Camaro), getting behind schedule (Delay SORP to March16th), or reduced capability (ABL concerns), the project team will do everything they can to try and overcome the shortfall. I say this to only to help people understand why GM isn't being transparent about the problem. It's most likely due to the fact that they don't know yet if they can overcome the issue. Budget is good as they haven't raised the prise. The schedule did slip as the car as been delayed. And the capability or deliverables may be reduced as ABL might not be what was originally intended.

I'm not trying to diminish the importance of ABL in any way. And those that want it are eventually entitled to an explanation when there is a definitive answer. But, please acknowledge that GM is working their asses off to get it right. And they don't take this lightly. But may have to make the tough decision to reduce the projects scope...

This is never easy, trust me, I've been there. I hate letting my customer down or reducing their expectations. And GM even more so. They are fighting for their lives in a cut throat industry. The very last thing they want to do is disappoint potential buyers.

So, please view the big picture. Be concerned, even upset. And hold GM accountable when the time comes. But for now lets hope for the best and cheer GM on as they try to get this right for us.

We'll deal with the bad stuff when we and they know for sure it's really bad.

Then don't enter the topic! Don't...enter...the topic! But here you are, you keep coming back. Whether you say you care about ABL or don't, you're always here. This option is important and affects most of us here as the majority are in the 2LT/2SS range. So here you are.

We don't all share your opinion. Just because YOU don't want to talk about something doesn't mean YOU can come in here and tell us what we should talk about on the Camaro forums. There are many topics on the forum, I'll talk about ABL in the designated ABL topics. If they're shut down, I'll just create a new one, or someone else will. Why? Because it's an important topic!

Are you afraid someone might see the topic and get scared away from the Camaro? Good! If anything, these topics will imform the masses about ABL(some people still aren't sure what it is) and let them know they're having problems. Maybe it'll get a GM rep to come in and stop the "rumors" with some hard evidence.

If YOU want these ABL topics shut down, get a GM rep in here to give us an real update, not a "stop speculating". Until then, I'm going to keep talking about ABL and you can stomp your feet and pound your fists all you want. All the people coming in to the ABL thread telling us to stop talking about ABL...well, that's something a bratty 10 year old would do. I don't go into other people's threads and demand they get shut down.

Stout,

Don't let that get to you. If the mods want to close a thread we will. And as none of us have warned of doing so it's not likely to happen unless this gets out of hand.

There are quite a few ABL threads floating around. So have a little patience.

please,

Chris

Jeez, I don't even get to pipe in anymore you do such a good job! We should start an appeasers thread to give all the anti-ABL types a place to post theirs fears on questioning authority, I'm thinking group therapy might do some good. Some of the posters appear to be suffering from Battered Spouse Syndrome. To all those that would gladly pay $40 grand even if it meant you had to self-assemble, I'm here for you... seriously.... Just kidding, but seriously, why don't just avoid this thread?

I picked the Cardinals and CamaroPete picked the Steelers to win the Super Bowl.
Final Score: Cards - 23 Steelers - 27.

Congrats Steelers! Yes, I lost the bet.

:(
That must pain you. Good to see you're a man of your word, and hey, remember, you damn near won!
