Same here, that stuff just puts me to sleep. I'm worried about doing even half at a time. I did the drive to PIR raceway back in the 90's for a NASCAR race and it was brutal, it dint help that we drove a company van down there either. The Camaro will be a much funner car for the long drive. I need to start making music disks for the ride.

With almost 700hp, you should be able to make there in 6 hours. I hope we all can make it in the long run. My first obstacle came up last week when I was scheduled for range duty at my club for that Saturday. I will offer $100 to anyone who will cover for me and pray someone takes the bribe.

I just drove 1800 miles straight through 24 hours of driving... This drive in one day would be a piece of cake at this point... That being said, I've never been a fan of cake ha haa. So I may just drive to Bakersfield in advance and meet you all there.
If not. I would leave here in enough time to make it to the Sacramento area where I would think we would head down 99 and either pick up the folks in Fresno or just meet everyone up in Bakersfield. From here to Sac is about 45 min's for me depending on time of day. Sacramento to Fresno is about a 3 1/2 hour drive. Fresno to Bakersfield about an hour and a half. I think LA is about 2 hours? It has been a while. So beyond that I don't know the times well enough. SO the rest of Mindz's plan sounds good to me. I really hope I can make it.

It seems like most want to do it in one day. Jacob, could you add some kind of poll to the thread asking what everyone prefers?

Who's Jacob?
Poll added, will close on Feb 28th. March 1st we'll have a route. Let's continue this discussion about possible places to stop on the way down to LA in the meantime. |

I voted 2 days since I can't do that long of a drive in one day. I hope that there will be one or two others that will want to do the same. I'm planning on stopping somewhere midway and then meeting up with the North or South crew depending on what time they will be rolling near my midpoint.
Thanks for adding the poll J! Sorry, you know hat I meant. See, I'm already tired from working on this beast!

Ya I know, I'm just giving you a hard time. Remember, you don't have to take it for a spin tonight. Might want to wait until morning to double check everything. =)
