Me and my wife got in a accident with our Harley on July 17 2010. I broke my neck and had to have a c1 to c2 fusion. What this means is I lost 60% of my neck mobility. I just went back to work this Jan. My wife broke her pelvic bone and the Harley was totaled. So no more Harley's for us. So we decided to get a Convertible. So while I was hurt I started looking at the mustang convertible because Camaro dint have one yet. Then it was unveiled THE 2011 CAMARO CONVERTIBLE and I was in love. I have been a Chevy man all my life ( I currently drive a 2010 Equinox LTZ) and it could not have come at a better time.

Because i gave up on finding a 1st Gen. They are either a pile of rust or someone has already "done a frame off" and price is through the roof! So, i'll get me a 5th Gen and be happy with that

Loved my Mustang and planned on keeping it forever. Was thrilled when the Camaro concept was unveiled and planned on adding it to my car collection. My wife saw it on the movie, fell in love with its looks. We went to a local Big Buck classic and Bale Chevrolet had a V6 on the floor as a display(No test drives) I looked around and she was over at the table starting the deal. It was either get it or watch her sulk so now it lives in our garage. Technically its hers but i'm in charge of gas, cleaning's and MODS.

I haven't posted any pics of my car as of yet but when it gets nice enough to take pics I will. The main reason I was drawn to the car was I couldn't take my eyes off them each time I saw them. At first it was a judging observation and then it was in amusement and eventually in jealousy. I had a duramax that was low miles but was used for heavy pulling and decided to make the trade just to have it setting in the same garage as my 68 rs/ss convertible and my 71 SS. I'm a camaro junkie and now I have my luxury ride so to speak. It truly is my dream car.

Always been a Chevy guy. My first love, the Vette. Who didn't love them growing up in the 60's & 70's.
When I got old enough and had saved some money from my $3.25/hr job, I told Dad I wanted to buy a 69 Camaro. Everybody in town had 67's and 68's. I needed a little difference in my ride. Dad went and checked out a new '74, air, power everything. Something around $5400 to buy it. "Dad, I want a 69." Nothing else was ever said about the new one. April 28, 1974, I plunked $1500 down and drove off with a base 69 White Camaro. Power NOTHING on this jewel. But it was a FUN car to drive and have! I loved it. Since that time, I've had a 90 RS, and one of the last in Memphis, black 2002 Z/28. That was the 1st NEW car I'd ever bought. Having looked at the window sticker I knew there was no way I'd ever be able to afford that car. Maybe it was the end of the month or end of the quarter, but the last week in March, 2002, I drove off the lot in it. Still loving the heck out of it. When the Gen5's came out, my lovely, wonderful life said she could see me in one of them and I needed to get me one. EVERY GUY ought to have a wife like mine! Sometime last year, with the thought of having her Pilot paid off this coming September, I got to toying around with the idea of looking for a used 2010 this Summer. Well, due to some things happening in my life, I am now on the cusp of being on the verge of ordering a NEW 2011, if I can't find THE ONE I want locally now. In fact at this moment I'm awaiting a phone call from one dealer, and am goling to see another dealer this afternoon. The car is so groovy looking and the power is awesome too. Click on my screen name and check out the photo and you'll get the idea of what type of guy I am. Maybe in 6 - 8 weeks, I'll be back here posting pictures of my new 2SS. |

Boy Howdy, wished I'd used Spell Check on that last post, although it wouldn't have changed my "wonderful life" to my "wonderful wife" where it neede to. What a maroon!

Well, it started with the first prototype in 2006 - I knew I loved the styling. When the car finally came out in late 2009, I went down and drove one of the first V6 cars to hit Seattle's East side. I was impressed, but not at $32k.
I thought on it for a while, and ultimately decided against it, knowing I should really go with the SS when I was ready. I had owned plenty of V6 Camaros in the past, but the only Camaro I really had fun with was my 2000 Z28. One day I got curious and drove a 2010 SS. It was black, with a 6-speed. I was smitten. I spent a lot of time with it and recognized how much I truly do love the styling. It sounded right. Felt right. Looked right. But, I said no that day because I wanted the car to be a good deal and wanted to research as to set up my buy to be 'the perfect storm.' But I knew the car had to be an SS, and that it had to be a manual. A few months later, I pulled the trigger on my white 2011 SS.
