Just recieved a new in the box set of 4.11 gears from Richmond... Delivered 2-4-11 Model number 89-0003-1 ( confirmed these are new improved unit ) Unit is for sale as i am going with a new 9" PM for more details ...... Asking for 500.00 shipped

Just spoke to Richmond and they state that the part number 89-0003-1 is the new and improved set of 4.1 gears for the 2010 camaro.. Set comes with a full Richmond Warrenty

Not sure, but they are the new set as of feb 1 2011 just for the 2010 camaro... this is the new part number being used for the improved unit. I would have kept them except that i am already in the process of installing a 9" with 4.1 gears...
Old unit retails for 695.00 new set is closer to 800.00 from what i hear...

not trying to whore your thread or anything..... but how can these be the "new and improved" set, when the improved set is a 4.11 gear ratio, according to richmond's website, as opposed to the old 4.10's?

Two things:
1: I just confirmed with Richmond this is the newly release 4.11 gears made for the 2010 camaro. they are new production and are considered an improvement over the 4.10 2: yes this is a bid, and until i receive payment i can only express what offers have been made, you would do nothing different... If it wasn't why does everyone even ask if if a lesser amount would be acceptable.. The whole point of what I'm asking states that "asking" I have only stated what other have offered... nothing else.

You just added the asking part and no I wouldn't do the same. If a person tells me they will pay the asking price for what I'm selling then it would be sold. I can meet you tonight with $500 cash but I wouldn't try to buy them out from under someone. To some people their word still means something.

Why did the gears all of a sudden change from being 4.10's to being 4.11's?
