There is nothing at Adams that you don't need! It's all worth it!

The only stuff I got from adams that is not needed for my camaro is the SSR and green pad, but I'm sure I'll use it someday on another car......

Its nice to know its there if you need it... just washed my truck yesterday after weeks of nasty weather here to find what looks like a shopping cart rub down my front fender. Looks like SSR and green pad will be needed, potentially sanding.

Ouch! Not good. I gotta go to work on the hips on mine. Looks like someone set their bag or something on it while getting into their car. Caught it when the sun came out.

Yea, I was pretty pissed when I saw it... not sure when it happened. Its been raining so much here since Christmas that I hadn't gotten an up close look at the truck in awhile.

its going back in to have the hood and drivers door reshot (body shop missed the color match by a hair after the accident) so if I can't fix it I guess I can toss the fender in there too for them.

This is the most important and best post on the entire message board as far as keeping your cars finish in shape. Thanks Junkman, I can't wait for my kit from Adams to come in and get started on mine.

Which one??

Junkman,

Very informative. My questions are what is the better machine the PC 7424 or the Megulars G110V Dual Action. Also I see that many of these machines are available with discount kits. Are you better off just buying the machines solo and then a selection of pads such as the Adams Pads.

The two machines that you speak of are so similar, I would buy the cheapest of the two if I was just buying a machine. However, it is always better to buy a machine with a kit. They are always cheaper that way. My kit that Adam's sells comes with or without a machine. With the machine is a sweet deal because you end up with everything that you see me use in my videos.

My good friend just got the porter cable and is giddy over the results with Adam's. He's going to help me do a full adam's detail job on my Camaro when I take delivery. I wont be able to buy my own adam's stuff until this summer since Im dumping all my spare cash into a downpayment. lol!

Im doing all my car war research now. Thanks Junkman for the education.

Well, as long as you don't allow the dealership to prep your car for delivery, you won't have that much to do to make it look outstanding. If you allow them to work on it, they will introduce scratches and swirls galore and you will end up with a crap load of work to do. That will also mean that you will need more products to fix it (which in turns means you will have to spend more money for products than you would have originally).

If I were you, I'd be standing on the dealership manager's throat explaining to him how you do NOT want them to touch your car when it arrives, no matter what it looks like.

Thanks for the feed back. But I'm driving my Camaro 900 miles home (WI to NJ) from the dealership. Still don't have them touch it?

I eventually plan on getting the Adam's PC kit.

No. There is nothing that you want them doing to your car whatsoever. Not even their "1,000,000 mile, all inclusive paint protection that God himself couldn't remove from the car" protection. What a joke.
