Don't be sorry, I was asking because I was wanting to know if you like Borla or don't like them. If Borla makes the system does that change your opinon.

I was looking for the reason to ask. Really I don't know and if I did they would not let me say. There are a lot of quality cat backs out there. I will have the GMPP Cat Back on my car.

I thought maybe you know something that I haven't heard.

Robin

Holy cow! I just read the posts after I replied to my response notice.

Some people need to lighten up. I give feedback to the team at GM Performance Parts. I am interested when someone asks about a supplier or potential supplier.

I will inquire on Monday several things...

1) Is Borla the Supplier

2) If so can I make that public information.

3) If the are not the supplier who is.

4) Can I make that information public.

As most of you know GM is not in the habit of telling their supplier sources. This is considered CONFIDENTIAL information. You and I know that it's not that hard to figure those things out some times. If I have a good reason they may tell me and allow me to tell you.

Have a great day!

Robin

Thanks Robin
Maybe better questions would be difference in HP and a sample of sound if at all possible.

Thanks for your help. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Just as I previously said and as Robin just confirmed.

I think you guys need to chill out and realize that Robin's post wasn't intended to be malicious in any way. I know that sometimes conveying a message on the internet can be difficult and sometimes can be easily misinterpreted, but calling him an idiot, etc. was uncalled for.

Well I apologize if i misconstrued but the way it was written seemed flippant at best! Now we know but sometimes articulation in these forums is key because you can not hear the persons tone! So my advice re read your posts to make sure it doesn't come off the wrong way!

I notices in another thread.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13129
that it states on the Dale Jr. sticker that there is a CMA preformance mufflers part number 92225672
Also at http://www.gmperformanceparts.com/se...o_sitelet.html
If you click on V8 Catback exhaust it only shows the mufflers and the same part number 92225672.
Does this mean that the $850 catback exhaust option is only the mufflers and tailpipe change not complete piping from Cat on back?

That particular part number is for the camaros with the bodykit it dosn't include the tips however part number 92206992 does include the exhaust tips for camaros with the standard bumper. I hope this answers your question.

I feel the same way and have already inquired at Billy Boat to see it they are making a system like they make for the vette. Its vacuum operated and you can adjust the rpm range where you want the baffle plates to open/close at. Check it out on their site, they have videos too. Its a beautiful looking system and sounds sweet.
They have not gotten back to me yet to let me know when they will be making something for the Camaro.

Don't quote me on this but I think the exhaust system piping is from right before the mufflers back. Not sure though.

This is Alvin from Borla Performance Industries in California. Borla will manufacturer the GMPP catback exhaust. The Borla branded parts will be slightly different. I hope this is helpful information. Thanks.
