It's not a matter of not being able to drive one, if you can afford a ZL1 you can afford to learn how to drive a manual. It is a matter of personal preference. Besides a GOOD auto will beat your manual any day

Oh yah ... thats why Lingenfelter's STICK car is the ONLY one in the 8s and has the autos beat by 3 tenths

I think it should stay "stick only" but I'm guessing GM will cave in by the time actual production rolls around and it will fade in with all the rest

What about the people who literally can't drive a stick due to a physical limitation? Like veterans who suffered battle wounds, would it be fair to not allow them the privilege to drive a ZL1?

well the ZR-1 does come with driving lessons so I don't think ZR1 owners should be in too bad shape.

I am hoping that one of the driving schools like Spring Mountain picks up some ZL1s and offers driving courses centered around them. I have been wanting to do a driving course for quite a while.

I actually prefer that we always compare apples to oranges. This way, no one is ever wrong

Uh yes you are right the Lingenfelter car is the only one in the 8s however how many of the autos have actually done a full transmission swap for a top of the line automatic transmission? You do realize that there is a reason why high performance exotic cars don't come with a stick right? There are automatic (and semi-automatic) transmissions out there that can shift in a few thousandths of a second. Pretty sure you couldn't do better than that
