I love being profiled in a Camaro -rolleyes

I'll keep this one short, ahead of me on my commute to work this morning was a new Black 4 door BMW M3 and he was swerving through traffic following an older Red M5 (they had passed me earlier but then got jammed up ahead of me till traffic lightened up). Traffic was moderate not too crazy. In NY people like to cruise in the left lane so I had to pass a couple people on the right but I did not chase after those two maniacs.

A minute later a brand new F150 Pickup pulls up behind me and I can see red and blue lights in his grille (turned off). He proceeds to follow me on my ass all the way to the exit for my office which is backed up with traffic. He pulls up next to me honks and rolls down the window flashes a larger gold badge at me and says "What the **** is wrong with you racing with that red car". I replied, "Sir I wasn't racing with anyone, I don't do stuff like that, It was a black BMW you saw, not me". He says "yeah right" and pulls away.

I looked on google for the badge, it looked kinda like an ATF badge or something, I wish I could remember better. But what a jerk, just because I have a fast black car and 2 idiots were racing ahead of me does not mean I was racing with them. This guy needs to mind his own business. If he had pushed it further I would have hit OnStar Emergency and contacted the State Police to sort it out.

If everyone else was driving constant, and you were passing people on the right and the BMW twins were also getting ahead, I think it could be visibly construed that you were possibly trying to keep up with them.

Be lucky that you aren't a BMW driver or worse yet, cops, who are consistently profiled as assholes. lol

They were going WAY faster than me, and my pass was fairly tame excluding the fact it was in the wrong lane, the car ahead of me was going under 50 (3 lane road 55mph limit), I barely hit 60 passing him. Plus he only mentioned me and the "red car" so its possible he didn't notice the black BMW take off and assumed it was me. Best part is I honestly do drive kinda fast sometimes, but today I got out of the house way early for work so I was taking my sweet ass time and enjoying Howard Stern on XM.

This is nothing new. Buy a muscle car and you attract attention. I have had 10x more cops pull up behind me in just over a month than i ever had in 5yrs of my CTS-V and she was just about as fast. Red doesn't help the no police cause either.

Whatever, it happens. Just gotta keep on the lookout. A few weeks back i had a patrol car follow me for 2 miles right into my private gated neighborhood directly to my driveway for no reason. I told him he was out of his jurisdiction and wasn't even allowed by county ordinance to be in my neighborhood. Told him my neighbor was a state trooper and i'd be happy to go get him to prove the point. Officer promptly left and i watched him drive directly out of the neighborhood without saying a word to me. I did however manage to snap a cell photo of the car number for later.

Just gotta roll with it.

While it's good to refer to a LEO as sir (after all, they have the badge and gun), I would not have done so in this case, especially if he was some jerk-off Fed. Should have asked him if he has gone through most of his life with his head up his ass or was he born that way. After all, only those who show respect can demand respect.

While i in no way wish to bash the police. Your absolutely right on this one. Just last Friday my very first fender ding was compliments of a Pinellas county sheriffs dept officer that parked right on top of me. Then never said a word and just left.

Dept is now paying for the damage they caused. Whole thing was caught on security camera and 6 days later. STILL no apology from the one who did it just from the officer handling my case and getting it paid for.

In November I was coming home from Lowes. I was just cruising down the highway around 60mph when i looked in my mirror and noticed a police cruiser a couple of hundred yards behind me. I wasn't breaking any laws so I didnt really pay too much attention. Next time I look in my mirror he was right up on my ass. I quick checked my speedo and I was still hanging at 60. After about a mile of him tailgating me i finally put my window down and threw my arms up in disgust to find out what he was doing. He finally backed off and pulled off at the next exit. I was really pissed off about that. But then I started thinking, he probably did that because thats the only time he'll ever be able to get his crown victoria that close to back of a Camaro. LMAO

Don't get me wrong I have no issue with cops, I am friends with many and I am a firefighter so I'm perfectly ok with dealing with cops and other government officials. The fact this guy was a Fed of some sort and busting my chops for something he obviously didn't clearly see is and is FAR out of his jurisdiction to do anything anyway is what pissed me off.
