The engine is built in Houston, did you need someone to install it for you?

So what is the total cost for this 416 build then? Im see all these numbers flowing and my mind is turning! Ha ha. I have been looking into twin turbos but nothing has been bought... of course.... So other options are always open for me. I am sick of not buying something for the Camaro so the wife will have to say yes to something sometime soon... ha ha

Well it all depends on what your asking.. For 635 package its 6595, and The short is Callies crank and rods, Wiseco pistons and GFX rings, Acl and Fed Mogul coated race bearings, ARP mainstuds. We port and polish your heads, put new springs and retainers on. New cam, double roller timing set, Morel link bar lifters, Melling Hv oil pump, Hke hardened pushrods and ARP head bolts, rebuild of your rockers make up the top end.

What are some other options? Something that may be a bit easier to convince the wife to let me buy. While I have no problem spending that much... she seems to think it is "unnecessary" to do.

See what I would like to see is this package with everything. Complete motor plus tuning. I would want to be able to drive in and drive out. I still do not know what the price is for the total package.

This is tempting... and if I had the money I might just do it. I am looking at a 427ci stroke kit though. And I am on a budget for it so I am having it done in steps. Heads and cam first, then the short block after. (have to save up in between them)

But I would go with a stroker before I went with a blower anyday! You get close to the same power... No one can look at your engine and even tell that it has had work done (perfect for cali when it comes to smogging)... and it is much more reliable.

Well it would be $6595 for the longblock $2500 for the R+R and $450 for the tune
So your looking at $9545 minimum call it $9950 to be safe. (fluids and misc gaskets)

Well thats a tough sell on the wife. Most women don't appreciate a car beyond getting from point A to point B and having it look nice.

I cant tell you how to massage her mind but here we go

its a dream car and having it the way you want it to be is part of being that successful person...

Its something that ever since you were a kid you have always wanted and now that you have that great wife and successful marriage you want the icing on your cake.

You'll buy her something just as nice

You were going to s/c it a anyway and it runs a risk of being broken that way and this is so much better and you will not ask for anything again for a long time...

The car will be the first one on the block with a precision built HKE 416 and it comes with a new T-shirt for her wear as well.

She would be the envy of all the other wives when they heard/saw her rumbling up in the Camaro. A 400+ cubic inch hi compression engine has a distinct sound like no other when it starts and rumbles down the road .. you will turn heads

What I told my wife: engine broke had to replace it...

I run one of our 457's. 750 fwhp 91 octane pump gas fire breathing beast of an engine. You want prestige and people to know your packing...LOL.. you go with one of them... I cant tell you how many old timers have approached me out of the blue at a stop light or something to give me a thumbs up. The younger crowd is just blown away by it.
You cant hide displacement. Blowers make huge power but n/a is the bragging right and sound that everyone wants.

And this is suppose to provide the same amount of HP as a supercharger (550-600 HP at the wheels)? There is a reason why people go supercharger. It is cheaper.
