MRT 1.0 v. 2.0

Any significant differences between MRT 1.0 and 2.0 axel back exhausts? I'm looking for a loud exhaust but not one w/ a lot of drone or a hole lot of in cabin noise at low RPMs. What are the significant differences between the 2 versions of the MRT exhausts?

If you haven't, check out the exhaust sticky and look at the links of both. In fact, I think in the MRT 2.0 thread, scrming does a great video dialog of his feelings on MRT 2 versus one, and you can always listen to the vids back to back.

General concensus is that 2.0 is a bit deeper, little less drone, and a more mellow/not quite as loud as 1.0, but it will still scream if you put the peddle down.

The v1 is louder than the v2 as KM said. V1 gives you a bit of drone sound while cruising on hwys but its nothing u wont get used to. My fiance got used to it the 1st day i installed and now loves it even more when she drives it when i have a bit of alchohol in me.

Another thing i noticed the videos are awesome that scrming made but honestly v1 sounds incredible in person. I made my decision from listening to his vids and im glad i did. Ive never heard v2 in person but im sure it sounds good as well. I just wanted loud at acceleration and idle so thats why i went with v1. Also cold starts are awesome. Currently working on a video of mine. Stay tuned!

MRT v2 is excellent, it makes your Camaro stand out and it gives me joy everytime I open the throttle! IMO the best.

I haven't listened to the radio more than a few times since I got the V1 (and replaced the stock resonators with a set of AR25s) and not because you can't hear it. The engine sound alone is music enough for me!

well i was driving a 2010 Edge Sport with the 22" Chrome wheels but traded that for the new Redesigned 2011Ford Explorer XLT. last year we picked up the 2010 Black LT1 Camaro, my wife was driving it. NOW she is driving the new SUV and I can't pry it our of here little hands... that being said NOW I am driving the Camaro more; so now i get to tweak it out: add CAI and exhaust. After hearing V1 and V2 MRT's for the v6 I am definitely going for those. i like V2 this way I am happy and the misses is happy about the car not being too loud in case she has to drive it. Now i gotta save some cash.. CAN"T Wait to mod!!

Do you have any vids of your setup?

Here's MRT v2 with resonators deleted.

I have V1, and it's loud and add in my other mods (larger mid pipes, ARH headers and cats) it becomes louder yet. It has drone on the highway cruising but it isn't too bad.

If you're really concerned about drone get V2. But if you want something really loud, get V1.

Hmmm not sure if I've seen videos of your new resonator set up. Did it really change it that much?
