Played bumper cars at Walgreens today :( - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Was backing out of my parking space was stopped to shift from R to D and THUMP! I look in my mirror and it was the old Saab I had just checked out before I climbed into Mystic. DAMN IT!

I put it in park right there in the middle of the lane and got out and walked up to the guy who was like - aww dude, crap. Then he leans over and wiped the dirt his car left on the bumper (his car was filthy) - see -oh yeah, that can be buffed right out. I told him - no it'll need a little more. Ya it's mostly just scuffed -but that one scapre will need filled.

It wasn't a huge impact (there was maybe 6' between our cars when he back out - so he wasn't moving real fast) and no one was injured...

I took his ins info and phone number and told him I'd give him a call when I get a quote before I called the insurance and give him a chance to pay up front. I was a little unsure about his name and Ins info - it just seemed fishy when he gave it to me. But I looked the name up on Facebook and the picure is the same guy LOL

The fact that I was soooo calm is just amazing.. I don't know if it was just beacuse it was a long day and I was too tired to go off, it could have been that I had just vented to my (wonderful) hubby for an hour about my new job and was calm, or it could have been that there have been shootings in that area a few times and I didn't want to be the one to set someone off LOL

I guess I can look to the bright side - this means that since she'll be at the pain shop anyways, I can get my gas door painted.. and maybe the bowties

That ain't so bad - could have been much worse. But it is sad that it happened.

Now you won't be so paranoid about your car even after it is fixed. hehe.

I'd wax the paint and rub protectant on the diffuser to cover it up and call it good.

Glad no one was hurt. I've had my car since 12/22/09 and have just been "waiting" for that first ding. Well got it Monday, some douche baged my door (and my car sits all alone at the back of the parking lot at work) - go figure. Grrrrrr... It's nothing, but like you - "I know it's there"...

At least you got the guy and he can pay to fix the damage, everybody else just leaves the scene.. Lori
