Damn, GM just announced that they are letting go around 3400 of their salaried engineering workforce, that is in addition to the purge done last year, and your worried about some lights.
They'll have to release even more if they fail at producing what they promise. GM will get back on their feet by providing everything they say will be there, it's not rocket science.

Hey, Tag or gta, I've been keeping a pretty close eye on the stripe threads and didn't catch any word on the split Hockey/Hood stripes, but I'll check it out with Hylton.

As far as the GMPP parts, people seem most interested in the CAI, Performance Exhaust (catback) and the Shorty Headers, and I have seen no LPO codes for any of those items, just the GMPP catalog numbers. I've taken that to mean they must be ordered over-the-counter, hopefully early enough to arrive before the car, and then dealer installed. Correct?

The attached 40pg. equipment and order codes pdf from Jan. 30th does contain an LPO for the Hurst STS, which is now rumored to be going RPO, but no mention of the CAI, Shorty Headers or Exhaust, and no ADI accessories.

The official line from GM is still that an anouncement "will be made closer to the start of production." Take that for what it's worth. I hope none of the orders that are now at 3000 were going to make a decision based on the availability of ABL.

Spoke to the rep at the Philly auto show who was showing the SS and the LS7, he informed that he used to work in the corporate offices of GM. I asked him specifically about the ABL at which point he said that they really cant get it to look right and that if they couldn't get it right it would not be included. For what it's worth.....the guy seemed very knowledgeable and didn't seem like he was BS'ing me...

^Scott has pretty much said the very same thing. I know it doesn't help matters. But that seems to be the party line. what We'd like them to say is, "yes it will be ready, or no, it won't."

you know if I was in charge i would let people decide if the ABL looks right or not. well they should have a brightness adjustment nob so people could adjust to their liking.

pure speculation but this what might be happening

1. its to expensive to manufacture and its a faulty system.

2. its revenge for all the bashing GM got. no j/k on this one.
