As a former Chevrolet dealer I went to my old factory rep today to find out the truth on the true release date on the 2010 Camaros. The sad truth is the release date has been postponed till probably the end of October at best. Even then the dealers will not see all that many Camaros ! These first release cars will be going at least 2 to 3 thousand over the invoice sticker. Whoever gets the first ones will probably go to the dealers sons and wifes ! The dealers could care less about your frustration and enthusiasm ! I do ! These are some of the reasons I am no longer with Chevrolet. In 1966 Chevrolets motto was
"Putting You First Keeps Us First". These words went out the door along time ago !

I hope this thomas guy isn't right, but I have to admit, my dealer told me my order -which was one of the very first back in mid-october 08 -probably wouldn't get there till the end of summer. I have an order number, reveived the packet from pepper etc...been following up with the allocations....does anyone have production number estimates for the first few months on the camaro?

We need a solid response to this, no speculation or opinion will do. What is being said here is very scary and even if it is not true will cause pandemonium like we haven't see before on this site (and that is hard to believe). Calling on FbodFather or any representative in the know from GM!

Rest easy my friend, this is at worst a total fabrication or at best someone thinking they know something as fact when it is not. Let's apply a little logic here. Why would GM have held the first consensus last Friday, if they were going to delay production until Oct? This appears to just be another "the sky is falling!" post. Remember, if it looks like B.S., and smells like B.S., then it's probably B.S.

If this were true, don't you think Camaro Scotty would have told us? Allocations have been given and orders submitted for production. RELAX

Yeah, sure you did. You're a former dealer? Often times once an idiot always an idiot.

I then was informed yesterday that their allocation had gone down and that they are no longer offering GMS which I was told and have in writing that they would if GM offered it.

It makes no sense to me because I am their only sold order. They have no other orders and lots of cars on their lot.

I am done now.
Not sure where in Ohio you are from, but check out the thred I just posted. I really like these guys.
