One thing is for certain, the Auto tranny kills the manual. And as predicted, the V6 will be the driving sales force of this car. Just like it has been for Mustang and Camaro in the past.

I bet this is the case for every car model out there that offers an auto tranny. Just shows how lazy people are getting...hahahaha.

PS, not starting a m6/a6 war! it was just too good to pass up!

Sean

I will only agree to a certain point. I would have been first in line to buy. I actually put down my deposit (unofficially) in summer 08' with my dealer. Then just at the time i was about to order mine my wifes car started having all kinds of issues and i decided to hold off on the new Camaro as my ride was already sweet and in great shape. Little bit later i Bought her a new Traverse. She knew how bad i wanted the Camaro so she surprised me with a trip to the dealer on New Years Eve with the exact car i wanted all waiting for us to arrive.

Also i'm pretty sure every production Camaro built was for the "general public" regardless of what year lol.

I bet it's about half and half A6 to M6 on SSs only.

These charts don't seperate the V6 and V8 autos and sticks.

Auto's are easier to sell when it comes push to shove. Most people who will end up buying one of these cars that gets sold down the road isnt buying it for the performance side they want the looks and the comfort/cruising.

Face it for the looks , Comfort and the performance the Auto Kicks A$$ but also seems more economical for most out there driving daily I guess.

Gotta love those Texans...they know a good car when they see it. V6's may be a stronger sale due to uncertainty in gas prices and future gas availablity, and this Chevy V6 is pretty fast and earning a name for itself. Black and White the two most popular 2011 colors but, the Camaro is so much more than black and white. Camaro's ROCK!!!

Sad there are even fewer manuals now. Atleast that will mean my car will be less likely to be stolen since fewer people will know what that extra pedal is for lol. Im glad that the ZL1 will only have a manual even though i probably will never own one.

?

I'll never understand why so many people seem to be under the misconception that you are only an 'enthusiast' if you buy the SS.
That sound you hear is Jay Leno laughing at you.

I had no idea so many people were buying automatics... I would have paid an extra $1000 for it to BE manual. Lazy people

I wouldn't worry about resale value based on color. Color tastes change over time. Regardless, just because I wouldn't want a particular color on my every day driver doesn't mean I wouldn't want (or cherish) it on a classic vehicle. It will make the car even more unique in the future.
