M6 or auto? If she's an auto leave it in drive and just hang on. If she's standard then I'd say shift around 4500 or 5000. Do a burn out before hand to heat up the tires so they'll stick better. Leave traction control and all that on for the race c

If you are bracket racing, use launch control so you are consistant. Just hit the traction control button twice so it is in "competition mode", if your on street tires, GO AROUND THE WATER BOX, you dont have to do a massive burnout on street tires, just clean them off. Prestage, push the clutch in, when your both staged, stomp the gas peddel to the floor and the RPMs will level out at 4k and when the last yellow lights up, DUMP the clutch and GO!!!! If you wait for the green light you lost.

You're planning on racing your almost entirely stock car on a closed track?
Don't do anything with power, get tires, new brakes pads and rotors and brake lines, and brake fluid. You might want to consider doing a typical fluid change if you're coming up close on an interval. |

autocross... Beginner race - so it shouldn't be too bad on my car. I Will be changing tires and brake fluid. I don't see what is so crazy to race our car stock, it's not too bad

Make sure you have a decent amount of camber in the front of the car, because these cars stock roll over the sidewall fast. Also put it in competitive mode, because with everything on it understeers even worst. Have a good time and enjoy yourself.

Have you, by chance, put in a rear sway bar? That would be the first thing I'd do if I was thinking on doing this.

I've got some pictures of me on a 1.9 mile road course in mine. It's a lot of fun but these cars with stock suspension go through front tires pretty quick especially on rough tracks. We did 3 20 minute sessions and of the 15 cars there I only got beat by a GT3 cup car and a viper.
https://picasaweb.google.com/Talisman013. It's the two that say Grand Bayou. They have high and low resolution ones. The yellow camaro is a v6 and mine is the Cyber gray ss. You can actually see a big difference in body roll between the SS and V6. The SS definitely handles better.
