Upcoming Camaro Question

Hi there,

I'm new here and really doesnt know much about cars besides driving. But i pre-ordered the upcoming Camaro in Rally Yellow but i'm thinking of changing it to Victory Red. Also is it too late now to have the color change? I've ordered Rally Yellow w/o the Black Stripe which I want to be added. Also Victory Red w/ Black Trunk looks fine so i really can't decide. Any suggestions? Also by the way, i'm kinda worried that when i get the exact car on the Transformers movie, people might say i'm so fanatic.

Thanks,

Do you think I should wait until it comes and see it in person? Is it also ok to change color when your car arrives? Also i pre-ordered an automatic one. I dont know how to drive manual except in video games.

Well, you spec'd out the car YOU want. If you pre-ordered it...you're not going to get a choice when your car comes in because, at that time, yours will probably be the only one sitting at the dealership at that time.

It changes per driver, (age, driving record, how long you've been driving, etc.)

A quick call to your agent should be able to answer this. Too many factors play into it.

You can make changes up to when GM pulls your order. At this point you can no longer make changes.

Waiting until your car comes is a bad idea. At that time you have 2 choices, A) take the car as it is or B) tell the dealer you decided you don't want it and walk away. Most dealers I've talked to hate it when a costumer doesn't want a car as it creates more work for them and their stuck with a car that they may not sell, especially if you ordered a color scheme or LPO's that most people find undesirable.

If you're unsure, ask your salesman if they have any cars on order of those colors and ask if he'll let you know when they come in so you can see them in person.

If you are having difficulty with the color selection, why don't you go down to the dealer that you pre-ordered the car at an see if they have any other models with Victory Red and Rally Yellow paint. That way you can see the color on a car (obviously not the Camaro). Chevy uses those colors on other models. The red is very popular color, but the dealer may not have a yellow car (depends on how many cars they have on the lot).

I am gettign the Rally Yellow because I like to be different. Plus the video showing Jay Leno's Rally Yellow LT just makes the car look super.

That's a good point but visualizing it isnt enough for me. I really want to see the real thing. Also I got the yellow to be different too but I dont want to be flashy cause i'm just not that type of person.
