Went through there on vacation a few years back. Cool road, cool drive, cool town. Hard to believe the Cartwrights road from the Ponderosa to there and back in one day.

Thanks DesertDawg for the info..will be going.The "crotchrocket" sailors from base do that run on there bikes during the weekends, one screw up and its "ALONG" drop down the side of the mountian. I'm more of a 6 mile canyon rider on my Harley..takes to long to heal when you get older. I will be pumping this event up at the base as it gets closer.
