The IDL, back LAST YEAR, IDL #1 (sept '08).....They mentioned the issue when I asked about not seeing it in the dealer ordering guide. At that time THEY ALSO MENTIONED they were fairly confident it would be resolved by the time the car went into production.

That said, what happened back then, now or on March 15th really doesn't matter.

March 16th is a month away, and it has been several months since I asked on the IDL why the ABL wasn't in the dealer ordering guide as it was shown in previous internet material, and the mention of a possible issue was brought up.

Worry after March 16th. Anything prior to that is a waste.

Right, because ABL missing from the ordering guide is such a great sign that we shouldn't worry, not to mention if any GM rep(usually at the auto shows) lets something slip about ABL it's negative. We've heard it doesn't look right on the dash, to keeping ABL on the doors only, to delays, and finally just omitting ABL altogether. We've heard NOTHING positive about it.

GM knows what they're going to do with it...you can't say "Hey, we think we got ABL working! Let's just go with it!" in such a small time frame. There isn't enough time left for GM to pull a 180 on ABL,; they're most likely working on damage control instead. How about we worry now; keeping quiet about a huge letdown would be a waste.

At least if we don't get ABL we can then start calling out the GM reps who knew ABL wasn't coming and kept quiet while people would have loved to change to a 1LT or 1SS (to save money, get the car faster, etc). I will make sure they get the questioning of a lifetime for their silence if ABL isn't there; topics like this will support my stance. It's hard to berate someone about their silence if they say "Well, you guys just stopped caring about ABL so we didn't feel the need to talk about it..." This topic will never end, even if I have to talk to myself.

If the suburbans came I would mention ABL and they would quickly drive away.

That is your opinion. You may be right, and if you are that is bad form on GM. But, they may be on the bubble. They might also have it ready...

Until we hear officially there are still two sides to this coin. Again, if GM knows and is keeping it a secret, that aint cool.

But, if they are still actively trying to get if ready for SORP, then that's good.

^^^^ Take it for what it's worth. Me, I'm glad my dealer did not get an allocation for this first consensus. Hopefully, by the second consensus, we'll have a definitive answer on the ABL and my car will be produced as I ordered it (with ABL)

Looks like there won't be any ABL, at least not in the beginning. Why else would it go completely unmentioned in the launch training videos?

The guy in the 'Camaro Accessories' video doesn't mention ABL explicitly, but the video does show a picture of it.

Also, the 'Interior Design' video does mention, "LED lighting surrounds the gauges to create a floating appearance."

That's still a go as far as we know, the light ring around the gauges is seen in several pics at car shows.
