CNT RACING 3" CAT BACK EXHAUST

I got my CNT racing exhaust installed that I got from sponsor ERZ Performance http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=123101.
The install was very easy and the exhaust system bolted right up to the factory converters using the factory band clamps. All the welds, bends, and 3" x pipe are well constructed. This exhaust fits great with no clearence issue and no rubbing on the under carriage. The exhaust system comes with a stronger tunnel brace that hangs down lower than the factory brace for better clearence, even though the factory brace would work with this exhasut since it fit under the car very well. Over all I am very satisfied with this exhaust system. The sound is great and is excatly what I wanted my car to sound like. Has very nice deep tone with no raspiness. For people who are worried about warranty this system is a great option for you since your not replacing the factory emission devices (catalst conveters). The only problem I ran into was the exhaust tips fit a little loose onto the mufflers. It was not a big deal though. All I had to do was dimple in the tip before clamping it down. I will eventually weld the entire exhaust sytem once I figure out what headers I'm going to buy.

Sounds good.....

For $600 with a tunnel brace that's a good deal. For the regualr $1,100 price tag I'm not sure it would be worth it since you can get the 3" Magnaflow for about $850.

Not sure why they had to weld on the curved section on the front of the system when pretty much all the other cat-backs are bent.

Personally I kind of like the looks of the Magnaflow tips better. Looks like their tips are single wall and Magnaflow's are double wall.

Overall seems like a very good contender if they can keep that $600 price tag.

The tips are double walled and very similar to the magnaflow tips I had on my V6 Camaro.

I'm sure a set of LTs will help that out. Magnaflow's 3" is the same way. Too quiet with factory headers but sounds good with LTs.

It is on the quiet side compared to some of the other systems, but I bet once this system is paired up with some long tubes and some 3" high flow cats it is going to be bad a$$.

My car is also bone stock accept for this exhaust. I have an ADM race intake I will be installing that may help make it louder.

Thanks! I'm very pleased with how it sounds. For the price and quality of materials used you can't go wrong with this cat back exhaust.

Installed my second performance mod this weekend. ADM race intake. Install was straight forward expect for the bolt for the race scoop and horn was a pain in the a$$ to tighten. The CAI woke up the exhaust some more and the throttle response is alot better. I didn't like the idea of drilling a hole into the 90 degree silicone hose for the vent tube, so I went to Autozone and got a 10 dollar vent filter and clamped it onto the tube coming off the valve cover. It fit under the engine cover and now I don't have to worry about sucking oil through the throttle body under WOT.
