I believe that is the Goal...in fact... Lets make that the Goal... 09:00 hours departure from San Antonio...going once, going twice, Gone...

There will be a group of us leaving the Austin area in time to meet you guys out near Segovia on IH 10 between Mountain Home and Junction... I'm still trying to find a place to feed us all, or a couple of places to split among. The problem is all the places west of Kerrville are pretty small, until El Paso...Kerrvile is too close for lunch, and El Paso is way too far... I'm mainly looking in Junction and Sonora... I figure there will be around 70 people to feed,,, though I havent broken down the actual count yet...I'll do that in the next few days and proceed accordingly...

Great that will help w/ planning.

Ozona or Ft Stockton might be good choices... We should be in Ozona around 12:30 and would be a good gas stop too, but the food choices are limited, like Subway, Dairy Queet, Sonic etc. or all of the above.

Ft Stockton would be more like 2ish but may be a stretch for some tanks. Could make a quick gas stop and move on to Ft Stockton... there are lots of places there like a full size Pizza Hut that we could call ahead and get a bunch of pizzas going. Dinner will probably be a bit on the late side so we don't want to do lunch too early...

Just some thoughts.

Thanks for all of that,,,

I'll pursue some more options and check in with you.... Bounce ideas...a big pizza buffet pre made may be just the ticket.

Thanks Mike

I know a lot of people are driving through on the way back. Who's making the trip back a two-day ordeal? And where are y'all staying Sunday night?

I was thinking of staying in Las Cruces for both the to and from, but coming back that didn't make much sense to me.

There was a Godfathers Pizza at the same location as the Subway in Ozona. Not sure they could handle the numbers we would have but with a little planning they could make up a bunch of pizza's for pick up. There is a subway and I believe a Sonic at the same exit which would allow for some limited variety. I just don't recall any places where we could put all of these Camaros.:(

Sedona, AZ. That's my next stop after the fest.

If we were headed directly home afterwards, we'd probably make Van Horn, TX the stopping point for the night. It's about 7 hours from Chandler, AZ and 6 or so from San Antonio.

I'm headed to Yuma after the fest, but others in our club have been asking about return plans. Dangeruss for one was trying to get something together.

Yeah we talked about that this weekend. I'd feel safer for me and my car if a few people stopped at the same place on the way back. He was thinking of places. I dont know West Texas very well.
