I noticed that in Manual on the 6L80e that when you come to a stop it doesnt go back to 1st it goes to 2nd every time. I was wondering when you have it in drive and come to a stop does it go to 1st or 2nd gear? I would think 1st, but could somone confirm this?

I can only verify that S & M (now that's funny!

) will drop to first. I have never driven my car in D!!

S it drops automatically & M when you use the left tapshift at a stop....

Yeah, I know you can drop it to 1st in M mode but was just making sure in Drive that it went to 1st gear & not 2nd.

I always use the shift pads when I'm in Manual and down shift all the way to 1st. In auto mode it will go to first on it's own.

D (Drive) and M (Sport) always drop to 1st gear at a stop. If the computer is doing the shifting, it will always start you out in 1st gear when you come to a stop.
M (manual -tap shift mode) - only drops to 2nd gear at a stop.

But manual/taps shift mode can be tuned to drop to first at a stop.

My tuner has my car tuned to drop to 1st gear in M (Manual - tap shift mode). Now (even in tap shift mode) my car drops to 1st gear whenever I come to a stop. It's pretty cool (even though I rarely use the tap shifts).
