here ya go Damano
https://www.exclusivegmoffer.com/ip-...do?program=cud Just enter your state and a pull down list will come up. Thanks to TXturbo for letting me know about it. My dealership said that if GM offers supplier discount they'd be happy to accept. That just paid for my exhaust and air intake!

Dtripper,
If your dealership has that many orders available, I'm sure you're not relying on this forum to sell them all. Besides, at any given dealer, does anyone really believe that this forum has any impact on the majority of their sold orders. I respect any business's decision to sell cars at whatever price they want. Whether it's MSRP, over sticker, under invoice, whatever, that's your perogative. What's my point? All of the people here who think that dealers are "damaging" their reputations by selling a hot vehicle at MSRP are just sore because they may have a discount certfiicate that very few dealers are willing to accept. That's all. Just another dead horse in the car business, I guess.

Thanks RPO. No, not at all. Just thought it would be a good idea to get my name out there. Should have done a little more research on forums though before I post something three different times. Oops. Sold one from it yesterday. So not all is bad. And it does seem like most people on this qualify for supplier or GMS. I'm sure at some point bigger dealers will accept GM discounts and I will be glad to honor it when we do.

If I were a salesperson and was sharp enough to come here to get some orders, I would think your manager/dealer would be proud. Any Camaro orders you get from here is pure gravy.
Good luck with the sales.

This is the coolest forum anywhere. I've got as much dealer angst as most others here, and really strong opinions on the dealer distribution channel in general. I like that we are being so hard on dtipper. I think the moral here is:
DEALERS - DON'T ADVERTISE HERE!!! DON'T TRY TO SELL CAMAROS ON THIS FORUM!!! I already got a sore spot for Dealerinfo's closed thread, and trying to have some dealer justify why MSRP is great and he is going to fill your order "soon" just rubs me all the wrong way. I am getting MSRP (in writing) and I know my place in line, and my dealer's current consensus. Could I know and do all this with 1 on 1 with my dealer? NO WAY. This site arms me with info to make sure my dealer is honest and accountable. DTripper, even though you might be trying to provide a "service" to let people know you may have camaro's at MSRP for order and delivery "soon", I really think this is the WRONG place. Give us info, and not "opportunity to buy from YOU". That I'd really appreciate, and that is one of the things that seems to make some other dealers here (like CamaroScotty) respected. DTripper - you want business from here? Quit trying to market and provide real info - trust me, people reading this board will flock to you. Otherwise, don't sell us MSRP and lot's o' camaros - you come off looking bad and uninformed after the sharks feed on you. Just my humble op.... end of rant... |

Thanks again RPO. Actually the guy who called me from this yesterday is a professor at a university and teaches business and commended me for being the only person from California to do this. I like all the feed back, just wish people were not so neg. In this market were in right now we need to touch every person possible to let them know it's ok to buy a car and it seems there are a lot of loyal chevy customers on this site. Thanks again and let's hope this is one of the cars that helps turn around GM.

He's here to try to sell cars. It's just disguised differently. You're entitled to your opinion but you come off as being arrogant telling someone else (dealers) to get lost. As a newbie, I would think you wouldn't get on someone's case after 5 or 6 posts. Of course, that's just my opinion.

RPO_Z28...
Hmmm.. Here's what you said about me... "You're entitled to your opinion but you come off as being arrogant..." "He's here to try to sell cars. It's just disguised differently." "As a newbie, I would think you wouldn't..." and ultimately: "why do you car whether he posts here or not?" (I think you meant care) You sound a little hypocritical... - What does newbie have to do with it? I have to earn the right to express my "arrogant" opinion? !? My opinion (in your opinion) is arrogant telling dealers to "get lost"? (which is not what I said at all!)? And you are asking me why do I care whether he posts here or not?!? Wow. I thought I was blindingly obvious. I smacks of bad taste (in my newbie arrogant opinion of course) to try and sell Camaro's on a Camaro enthusiast blog site. I wasn't disrepectful to you or DTripper, and even told him my opinion on stuff I would like to see him post. Obviously, you, DTripper, and any/everybody else can continue to post whatever they want... Thank god I can too... Hopefully I can do it without telling people their posts are arrogant or getting on their case... I just want this site to remain an enthusaist info site, not a site where I get pitched to buy this or that from this guy or that guy. If it doesn't happen fine. But shilling is shilling, and he's not even trying to disguise it. If others have the opinion that any dealer (or any PERSON) can just come and pitch whatever they want, no matter how great the price, or how fast the delivery, or how this or that, my OPINION is that this site would be a lot less useful to the majority of people sharing info - and a lot less fun. Just common sense, that's all. |

Scotty has been very active here, and sure, he wants to sell cars, but he is also trying to earn our business and trust. This is probably one of the biggest reasons why he's as popular as he is here, and good for him. Honestly, that's one of the reasons I seriously thinking about ordering from him.I'm not making a recommendation for John L. Sullivan or anything, but I've bought there in the past. They are a HUGE dealer (I haven't seen a bigger one in California - but I haven't been everywhere in California either). I had a good experience. My salesman was cool and he didn't try blowing smoke up my arse. I doubt he's still there, because that was 11 years ago, but there's good and bad at every dealer; I don't have to tell anyone that. I think he has a better idea on how to post on this forum and what kind of posts we like seeing from dealers, so let's, please, ease up on him a bit. He's taken his lashings pretty well, LOL. Sincerely...

I don't know what kind of response you'll receive, but maybe think about posting some information here too: sacfbodyz.com. That's a site that my brother and I run and I think there could be some people over there who may be interested. It wouldn't hurt to try at least I'm sure my brother will want to come by and drool on your Camaros when they come in also, LOL.
