Imo, At first thought I think it should be a stick only kinda car,But it Dose suck for the ppl that cant drive a manual due to physical reasons so for that I think if they want to pay for it fine with me, It could be a special order maybe?

no vert,no sunroof? Thats cool with me but if you realy want a race or track car then no dash no carpet,no back seat, only one front seat,Roll cage. while your at it might help with price too...lol And Anything that makes it lighter but maybe from dealer to help keep price down just my 2cents

I love what that have showed us at this point, The only thing I wish or hope is gm looks at fords sync setup and maybe do something like that. I like that I dont have to take my ipod or phone and hook it up every time since it has a hard drive I can just lesson to songs that I have on it or when a song comes up on the satllite radio it lets me know and ask if I want to change to it,And the nav is nice and cooled seats to go with my heated seats would be very nice

When they had the question and answer period during the press conferance for the ZL1, a person asked the question if they were planning to offer an automatic? There reply was "would you like one?", pretty clear to me that they are listening and most likely evaluating the pheasabilty of an automatic. Will have a much better idea of this plus other modifications, along with a more firm MSRP as we approach the fall season.
Have faith the players who made this all possible are probably more fanatical then we are.

I would love to get an auto, but will buy the manual if it's the only option.
No need for a sunroof, but it's a nifty option.
I'll have gps on my phone, so I have no need for nav. Again, nifty option.
I would definitely prefer a lighter blue be made available.
Although I'm a bigger fan of the 2010 steering wheel, the current ZL1 model is alright.
Finally, I agree that to have an MSRP under $50K would be the ultimate in badassery.
'Sides that, I think the car is just stellar.

like i have said before.if you can't drive a stick,you have no business with a ZL1.

I am not interested in paying two grand for a factory nav. system

But since GM is listening, I think they are doing a great job with the ZL1

I agree!

Scott, thanks for chimeing in on these threads when possible

Please keep pricepoint competitive with its direct competition, and the car used to benchmark in testing.
This being the case with Mag ride it should have excellent sales #s in the segment.

- light blue color
- ssx wheels
(- earlier delivery than spring of 2012!)

OK, "MORON" was in poor taste. My apologizes to you and every other GM Exec that is in a steering position for the Camaro, most specifically the ZL1.

The fact remains that many of the customers of this car are those reliving their youthful experience with a Camaro and the high horsepower autos are what best suits many within that demographic. Then there are those like myself where it is my BRIDE that desires the car and she is 40+ and is not about to learn to drive a manual. I have a manual shift Camaro in the garage that has nearly 700 HP at the wheels. If she were about to learn to drive a manual I have the car in the garage.

Any decision by the directing executives NOT to offer the LSA/6L90 pairing JUST as in the CTS-V was a terrible one at best.

There are many, a very measurable amount will not buy a Camaro period because they would like to have the high horsepower option but in an auto. Go back and BEAT whoever over the head to offer the LSA/6L90 pairing for the ZL1. The leg work is already done as the test car was equipped as such.

This is very personal to me as my BRIDE was gonna race the car if I bought her a CTS-V. Since the information on the now called ZL1 was leaked it had the LSA/6L90 pairing and she was dead set on racing a Camaro. And I liked the aftermarket support offered to the Camaro to the V. Vastly superior in the Camaro. So when it was released in manual only it was like well hell, now what. I REFUSE to butcher a V for her to clip 10’s in. PERIOD! She actually wants me to build a Roush Mustang freaked out by the dealer that will be 100% power train warrantied IN WRITING! So such is my dilemma.

Please, for the love of the automotive gods, get rid of that head unit. It looks odd, it's difficult to replace, and gives the factory no options for the people who'd really appreciate some modern conveniences like electronic climate control and a color screen to list several iPod songs at once, etc....

All I wish is that you give me more photos and videos of that amazing exhaust tone, also that the car isn't maxed out from the factory like the Mustang 5.0

Ok, Fbod here goes.

1. Offer an auto. Like the previous poster said the test mules had it. I'm buying a stick but having that option would one up the Oval.
2. Please design a dash and put a nav unit in. I like Onstar but having that makes it a little more convenient.
3. JETSTREAM BLUE PLEASE

Thanks and have a good night.

1. Under 50K base price
2. A variant of Aqua Blue Metallic/Lemans Blue
3. A ZL1 available (still) by 2015.

Other than that, if the performance numbers ring in slightly better than the cts-v then I'd call it a wrap!

Does the original poster not realize that there have already been polls done on each of these questions?

It would be nice if people would read the forum before starting new threads on already covered topics.
