with no limiter, suitable tires, and enough space, the SS's should hit 180 mph.

I guess there's a Camaro down in Florida right now for a little race that starts in 12 hours or so. Some guy who's won 3 championships in a row ran it around the track a few times. Nothin' too important.

Better not come with a chip to keep her under 110. lol. Once got my 91Z up to 145+ on a flat desert highway in Nevada. Felt like the car was floating.

Hint #2 The guy driving the car on the right won it 11 years ago

I feel pretty confident in saying some of the base V6 Camaro's will be electronically limited to around 110-115 mph, because of their touring tires that are speed limited to 110 mph or so.

The SS is going to have a hard time getting to 175. The SRT8's hit 173 but can't go past that because they are gear limited (from what I remember). The SS will probably have a hard time because 5th is going to be a little tall (almost to 195).

I really hope people don't try this stuff on public roads.

The SS will hit its gear limited top speed within a few mph of its aero limit, so in the end it will depend on the direction of the wind

dont forget the weight of the driver.... and the amount of gas in the tank.

tho im not too worried if its top speed is 180mph or not.

im more concerned with how fast it will get to that speed.

I was specifically referring to the aero vs gearing. Weight will affect how long it will take to reach top speed but has a minimal effect on the final number.
