I believe it is being restored, i think i saw a thread about it on 3si a while back.
Yours in good shape? pics?

Nearly mint except for the fact it needs washed right now. I talked to the guy about buying this car for a year. I passed on it at first and then finally decided to pick it up. Here are a few from when i got it.

You should have seen the other cars that weren't in the picture. That shot only shows the main area with most of their lifts (only about 25% of the shop). The new IPS shop is amazing and they are still working on it because it is so new. Everytime I go there, it gets better and better. I'll try to get more pics next time I'm there. I meant to get a pic of the dynos, but didn't yesterday.

I saw the pictures that they posted on 3si.org of the shop. I must say they had some very nice cars there, if i remember right a lot of camaro's and vettes that i wouldn't mind owning.. Not much is rarer than a VR4 spyder though. Pretty amazing to be doing a full resto on one of those in their shop.

Do they hold any shows or open houses at their location?

I asked IPS Brandon when they were planning to have their "Grand Opening" open house event. He said as soon as they finish setting up the front area where the customer service counter is and set up their displays. He is hoping for April or May I think. I'm sure he'll post it in here when they decide on a date. I will definitely be going to that.

Now that my car is back in the shop, I'll have them put my 22" wheels back on my car. So, if anyone in Ohio is looking for a gently-used set of the 20" MS stock wheels (including tires and sensor) that come with the RS package, let me know. They'll be available in about 2 to 3 weeks. I thought I'd offer them to folks here before putting them up for sale in the members classifieds area of the forums.

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled thread...

Very Picture worthy. I had no idea they had to drop the whole rear end out for a couple of bushings.

I think the idea is that since they will doing a cam (motor), torque converter (tranny), and the bushings in the rear end, that it might save them time to just lift the body off to expose everything. I'm not sure that's what they're going to do, but IPS Brandon said they were planning things out and that is one option. We'll see. I told him IF they do it, they need to call me so I can get some pictures. My understanding is that it sound and looks much worse than it actually is. It's a few bolts and some electrical connections. We shall see.

Looking at those pictures, I'm tempted to have them put new rear axles in the car while the rear end is so easy to get at.

If they're doing all the bushings then it'd be easier just to drop it. Unless you have your own custom tool to remove the old bushings they have to be carefully cut out, something I'd imagine being difficult with it still attached to the car.
