It'll work, we had 2 car seats (twins) in ours many years ago.

all i know is that my dad would never use a 2 door sports car as a main car when i was growing up . maybe at a young age it can work. but when they did a little older many not.

Heck yeah it works fine , my son rode home from the hospital in my/his SS and still rides in it on a daily basis. He's 8 months old now and its just part of my routine getting his seat in and out of the car , its not that big of a deal at all with just one kid. I can also get one of the big strollers in the trunk so yeah it's the perfect baby mobile! I say go for it man , how cool would it have been to grow up in an SS Camaro..............My son wont have to wonder!

Congrats and now a word from someone who has not one but TWO car seats in their Camaro. You are going to be very hard pressed to fit a rear facing seat into this car unless your passenger is very short or you ride with no passenger. Once you make it to the point of having forward facing seats then it's all good for quite a while. I have two very very large Britax seats in the back with twin 7yr old girls. both girls are 4ft tall and fit perfectly fine behind my wife and very snugly behind me. The one behind me has virtually zero leg room and neither do i. I bought the auto for this exact reason. No way i could shift comfortably.

My girls are old enough and big enough to not need car seats at this point but i feel much much better knowing they are safely tucked into their seats. The seats clamped down so tightly in this latch system that the damn entire frame of the car would probably have to snap before these seats came out. No joke they are in their like they were welded on. Nicest child latch system i have ever had including my caddy i just traded in for this.

You will need to search long and hard to find a rear facing seat that will fit. After that it's gravy just a little cramped up.

I'm sure you'll make it work! Heck, when my son was born (2002) I had a little 2000 Eclipse and made the rear-facing car seat fit. (Just couldn't ride a passenger up front comfortably. LOL!) Anyway, congratulations!

It will be fine. It will be somewhat awkward for a few years, but soon, they'll be big enough to get themselves back there and buckled in themselves.

Congratulations ! and by all means keep your Camaro. It will work - no problem. The kids loved riding in high perfomance vehicles the most. They would say "go very faster daddy" and then fall asleep. It was cute.

your child will hate you if you get rid of your Camaro, and yes a seat will fit, and older kids will fit in the back to so you can keep your Camaro even when your kid get older, and Congrats

Congrats!!!!! Yeah, the baby will fit, but hopefully you have another vehicle to use on long trips etc... Lots of stuff goes with babies and traveling. Maybe you could find an inexpensive and safe "diamond in the rough" kind of vehicle to use when you need to transport the kiddo?? and keep the SS for playtime.

I'm almost "over the hill" and still get reminded of how my Mom and Dad had to "give" up their '68 Camaro when I came along.. UGH!!

fits just fine behind the passenger seat. don't think you would want anyone sitting in it though.

Congrats! I never could get the rear facing to fit without the passenger being uncomfortable. Front facing though there were no problems. It was actually easier to get my son in and out of the Camaro as opposed to our family vehicle.

Congratulations! I remember a thread from last summer, a C5 Member's kid was born in his camaro.

Back on topic, you should be fine with the SS as long as you don't have too many kids Soo happy the woman and I have two other cars to cart around our brady bunch.
